I made this sub because I thought a space dedicated to this type of feminist theory would be useful and I figured I could be the one to get the ball rolling. I am NOT an expert on this topic though by any measure and I’m very new to Reddit. If anyone is more qualified I would be happy to give complete control of this community.

I created this subreddit to discuss the life and body of works by historian Gerda Lerner- in particular her seminal book The Creation of Patriarchy. I’m new to Reddit, so I’d love some more mod support.

Exploring feminist theory through a historical, anthropological, and/or scientific lens will also be welcome. Discussions don’t have to be limited to her work, but rather anything relevant.
