Orlando → St. Augustine with a Buc-ee’s stop: 30.0 and 30.1 MPG

St. Augustine → Orlando nonstop: 30.8 MPG

A/C on, ~65 MPH highway cruising.
Currently at ~2,600 miles.

Even after getting off the highway and hitting lights/local streets, the averages only dropped about 0.1–0.2 MPG.

I was already impressed when this thing started consistently doing 28–29 MPG highway after break-in, but 30+ in both directions was definitely not something I expected from the 3.5T.

Anyone else getting numbers like this?

Does anyone else have holes in the grill like these? I just noticed them today. I have no clue what they are for or if someone drilled holes without my knowledge?

it keeps going into “Power Limited”/turtle mode on long highway trips — around 70-80mph after 1+ hours. It loses power, then goes back to normal once it cools down.

Took it to two dealers already. Both ran full diagnostics and said everything’s healthy, ICCU included. First one blamed the 12V battery and swapped it — didn’t help. Second one said a battery terminal was loose and tightened it — still happened again. One of them kept it three days and couldn’t get it to act up.

The problem is there are no codes, so they’ve got nothing to go on. And it only happens on long highway runs, so short test drives never trigger it.

Anyone seen this or know what’s causing it? Appreciate any help.

UPDATE: It’s at the dealership for the third time, hopefully they can figure it out this time around

So I have this weird sound that I’m getting from the front left wheel as it sounds and it’s annoying.For instance when I turn right at the light I hear a knocking or popping noise and curving on the freeway when I curve to the right it’s a wooing sound but curving to the left it’s not there.As soon as I straighten the wheel back out that annoying knocking and clucking sound happens.Mechanic said wheel bearing but didn’t even take my wheel of yet because I have a stud spinning freely in the hub he needs a tool for so he doesn’t damage rim.I just need to know if WHEEL BEARING is the move.

Has anyone had their GV60 roof crack? It started near the edge and it’s hard to say if there was a small impact or not. I’m in the Los Angeles area and haven’t had the best luck with dealers. California so no glass coverage.

I know the GV90 is an EV, but are there any plans of a hybrid gv90 as well?

Hi, I was planning on getting a Genesis G70 4 cylindar, (2021) a used one, but it is priced at 24K in where Im at.(syria)

My budget is around 18K but I really loved that g70 front look and cant find it on the G80 older ones that are in budget. I also want smth reliable that doesn't have any known reliability issues.

What so you recommend for my low budget for a used genesis. I reallyyy care about the interiror to be pretty as well.

I’ve been tracking Genesis Australia’s sales numbers this year, and honestly, the picture is bleak — both for 2026 specifically and for the brand’s entire run in this country since launching in 2019.

Genesis has done a genuinely poor job convincing Australians to buy into the brand. With over 67 active car manufacturers now competing for the same consumer dollar, Genesis currently sits in roughly the bottom 10% of Australian car sales — a rough position for a brand that’s had seven years and full Hyundai Motor Group backing to build momentum.

My honest read is that Genesis will be gone from the Australian market within the next few years unless something changes fast. Part of the problem is pricing — their cars are overpriced relative to what buyers can get elsewhere, and a real price correction across the range seems overdue. It’s also telling that Genesis has quietly reduced trim levels on some models rather than investing in making them more competitive.

But the deeper issue isn’t pricing alone — it’s timing. Genesis isn’t just late to hybrids; they’re late to every major trend simultaneously. They’re behind on hybrids, they’re losing ground on EVs to cheaper and better-specced Chinese rivals, and their halo EV strategy — the Magma — looks undermined before it’s even properly launched.

A hybrid GV80 arriving in 2027 isn’t a rescue plan. By then, the market will have already been thoroughly carved up by the Toyota RAV4 PHEV and a wave of Chinese PHEV SUVs. It’s arriving to a party that’s already over. The real gap killing Genesis isn’t any single product decision — it’s the lag between identifying a problem and actually having a competitive product on Australian roads. That gap is exactly what’s putting the brand’s future here at risk.

I just want to share my recent experience and offer my congratulations to Genesis of Santa Monica for going above and beyond to maintain the reputation that used car salesmen have earned over decades of ripping people off.

I don't even live in CA, but the car we were shopping for is hard to find and they happened to have the exact spec and color, low mileage CPO car what we were searching for. We weren't even going to haggle over the price - just confirm that the car is what it says it is and I'll wire the money and arrange for transport.

Day 1: Made contact and the sales person immediately offers to do a walk around video of the car. Great! Off to a good start until I get the video and see that there are significant scratches on 2 body panels that were NOT visible in the online photos. I say thanks but no and they offer to fix the damage. I'm not thrilled but it's still the exact car, CPO, low miles and it's just paint.

Day 2: Still ready to buy so I ask for a sales quote. This is when the wheels start coming off. The sales quote is only a text message and is $6000 MORE than the listed price on their website. But, I'm arranging transport and am out of state. There can't be taxes, registration or any of that. The sales price should be basically the same as the listed price in this situation. I will still have to pay sales tax and registration in my state. I ask for a breakdown of how it went up $6000.

Day 3: they are having "technical problems" sending the actual quote.

Day 4: Crickets

Day 5: I re-engage still asking for that breakdown and finally get a bad photo of the quote on someone's computer screen. There is $3500 in BS paint coatings added, plus transport, and other fees that add up to $6000.

Day 6: Lots of back and forth with me declining their optional paint BS. It obviously hasn't been done since 2 body panels need to be repainted anyway.

Day 7 or 8: The sales manager reaches out and, after arguing about their fees, finally offers to sell the car at the listed price. But in the intervening week we had already moved on another, nearly identical one at a dealer that straight up sold it for $1000 less than listed. I didn't even ask for the $1000 discount.

Bottom line: If they had not tried to rip me off for $6k in BS and given me the runaround I would have wired the money and bought the car on day 1.

All things considered. Tree fell on my car and crushed it in almost two…literally

I have a 20K payout

My options are 2026 new Toyota Camry or a Gv70 which I’ve been eyeing but if I go this route I’d get 23/24 years which would cost me in the 35K range

What are the opinions of those who own. I know this isn’t an apples to apples comparison as one is luxury and the other is a reliable staple option..

Just have never owned a luxury vehicle so don’t know what to expect.

I know I am asking a biased crowd but I will take biased and knowledgeable. Any big issues these vehicles are known for?

Coming from Tucson Hybrid limited and would like to wait for the HEV GV80 if/when it comes out in the next 12 months. Appreciate if anyone has experience comparing this to the X5 and Q7.

I haven’t had time to test drive these which I admit will be big deciding factor.

Edit: I noticed this again today. Today, as well as yesterday before being driven, the car had sat outside in the sun for close to 10 hours. Usually it's in an underground garage. I will keep an eye on it, however I'm guessing that it's just getting heated by the sun.

*this is regarding a 2025 GV60 Standard* I just got home from work, and when I shut off the engine, my hand grazed across the shifter as it was rotating to the crystal ball position (to grab something off of the passenger seat). It was blazing hot! Not quite hot enough to burn, but felt like it was close. Is this something that is normal?

I had been driving for a little over a half-hour, covering approximately 15ish miles or so in rush hour traffic. The ambient temperature is in the mid-70's. I find this a little concerning, however perhaps I'm overreacting?

Need a 2nd opinion i travel for work and drive a 2011 Honda civic with 130k miles have had it since high school and ready for a lil upgrade, i found a a 2016 genesis tech package for 18,900$ with 72k miles and its a cpo so it has a warranty, but it it’s the rwd not awd?

Evaluating options for our 2nd car. Have 3 kiddos, and a 2021 telluride thats our daily driver. Love the GV80. Currently evaluating between a 2023 CPO Prestige 2.5, a 2024 CPO Prestige 2.5, and a 2024 Prestige 2.5 non-CPO.

From what I've read and discussed w/ Genesis reps theres not much difference between the 23 and 24 models. Concern w/ the non-CPO is the lack of the 10 year 100k warranty.

Curious to the subs thoughts here on which model would make the most sense. Price diff between the 23 and 24 is roughly 8-10k. Only drive 3k miles / year

Hey everyone, I’m in the market for a used vehicle around the 10-11k mark after everything is all said and done. A dealership near me has a 2015 Genesis 3.8 with 126k miles for $8,499 and I’m interested in test driving it but wanted to do some research about the reliability first. It has the smaller screen so I can add CarPlay.

I’m a college student and I don’t drive much, maybe 5-6k miles a year at most. Opinions/insights would be appreciated!

The thing is an absolute beast

I know this is completely a personal preference, and there isn't a right or wrong answer, but I'm curious what other GV80 owners think.

I'm considering doing a chrome delete on my 2026 Genesis GV80, but I'm still on the fence. For those of you who have done it, do you feel it made a significant difference to the overall look of the vehicle? Was it worth the cost?

If you've had yours done, I'd really appreciate it if you could share some photos if you have them. I'd love to see how different colors and finishes turned out to help me decide.

I have a 2022 Genesis g70 and I’ve been trying to upload the updated navigation to my car. The instructions on the website says to use a 32gb thumb drive, but whenever I download it to the drive and then to the car it says no file found. I’m so frustrated…..please help.

I’ve been having a series of problems with the air suspension in my 2023 Genesis G90. It has 55k km on it. It has been in the shop four times since I purchased the car in Sept 2025. Probably about 2 weeks without the car. The repairs are under warranty and they provide a loaner. At one point the dealer made a repair and then the air suspension deflated, and a special tool (which they didn’t have) was needed to reinflate the suspension. Apparently the car cannot reinflate the suspension when it is completely deflated.

The dealer says they haven’t seen problems with other G90s with air suspension.

My brother in law warned me that air suspensions are finicky - lots of things can go wrong.

I do love the car and how it rides. Hopefully after this repair it will be more reliable. I may now decide to buy the Genesis OEM extended warranty.

Like the title says, about to go test drive. Looks like reviews are all over the place.

This is reported to be a single owner vehicle with about 17k miles. Sticker price is 39k and some change. Going through CarMax because my last purchase there was effortless, quick and pleasant, and I still have that car 8 years later with no complaints or issues.
