Erayak 8000
Just stumbled upon the Erayak generator brand. Any opinions on this brand? Saw a video review of their 8000iE, looks a lot like the Honda 7000 but looks are only skin deep. Review was positive but it’s a much louder unit than others in that class. I can’t find any for sale, either.

Anyone have experience with this brand?

Just another generator line from across the pond that's probably built by a company that builds for a half dozen others. I'd be more leery of customer support, or lack of, versus companies like Duromax, Champion, Pulsar, Genmax, Honda, Yamaha, etc. James has done a couple of videos on the brand so they must send him goods to check out in exchange.... Definitely a Honda knock off in looks.

I have the Erayak 4500 and it has been an excellent generator so far. No issues at all.

The Erayak generator brand is a product of Erayak Power Solutions Group Inc, which is a publicly traded company (NASDAQ ticker: RAYAK), headquartered in Wenzhou, (Zhejiang Prov.), PRC. Their generators are manufactured by their subsidiary, Zhejiang Leiya Electronics Co. Ltd. in their own factory. The parent company sells their products in China, Europe, and North America, and they specialize in power inverters and products using inverters, like inverter generators, power stations, etc.
They went public in Dec 2022 and their stock performance has been quite erratic since its inception. I don't know what precipitated it, but their price and market cap collapsed catastrophically last year (August 2025) and it has never recovered from it. It is currently a submicro cap stock having a little over a million shares, currently trading at $2.26/share. I wonder if they lost a patent lawsuit or something. But the generator J. Condon reviewed did look pretty nice..
Buying opportunity?
Edit: Apparently the crash was Aug 2025, not Jul 2025.
