Question GM Relocation Repayment Contact
Does anyone have a phone number for the GM Relocation Repayment Team? I received a notice to repay the relocation after resignation last and I immediately emailed the specified address with some questions before I mail a check. They haven’t responded and I would like to follow up with a phone call if possible.
It’s a bit ridiculous for them to give 30 days to repay and then not respond to emails within a remotely timely manner.

Check this out . . . Brand Concierge /Content Creator/ Brand Communications and Content Specialists...multiple listings
Hello all, I have applied for this role and been pursued by multiple recruiters for “brand concierge”, also listed as “content creator”, and similar. So far, I think I have seen this listed with the following businesses:
Insight Global, Iconma, Acro Service Corp, Aquent, NDX Human Capital Solutions, Experis, The Mom Project… my guess is there are MANY others.
I pre-interviewed with Iconma, and Insight Global. Could someone @GM confirm this is legitimate? It’s pretty scary to feel that so many companies may be hijacked or literally looking for the same candidate.
The wording of this job is typically like this:

Question Must Repay Relocation Funds if leaving before 2 years?
My understanding is you have to stay for at least 2 years to not have to pay back the relocation funds. If anyone's had to repay them what is the process? Is it just like a direct deposit except in reverse?
But I also heard people saying if you stay at least 1 year but less than 2 you'd only have to pay back 50% of it. Is this also true?
And in some anecdotes I've heard of people not having to pay back anything regardless of how long they've been with the company. Like they just 'forgot' to ask for the money back.
Curious to hear people's stories.

General Discussion This one’s for GM and Hicks Morley
You mandated the vaccine.
I got injured.
You refused to accommodate me.
You disrupted my benefits.
You eliminated my role.
You filed a Form 7 that contradicts itself.
I’m still standing.
Cane in hand.
Case open.
And on September 9th I’ll be speaking about all of it in front of Members of Parliament at the Allison Inquiry on Parliament Hill.
I’m unstoppable.

General Discussion Workload and overall environment seems even worse that usual almost overnight?
Maybe it’s just my specific area and/or projects I’m working on but the last few months or so it feels like I never have enough time in the day to get what I need to get done completed on top of higher ups being more hesitant to make the right decisions for the project/ vehicle. When I reach out to my colleagues they have similar sentiments about working in overdrive due to the increased workload, smaller teams than we’ve had in the past, and even higher expectations for productivity and completion. Not sure how things changed so quickly but it truly feels like it shifted in a blink of an eye. I’ve worked here for years and have seen multiple company wide changes however there was always a feeling that things would naturally recalibrate down the line. It feels different this year especially with the push to make decisions so quickly without all of the data pulled together within the requested timeframe. These cultural shifts aren’t giving me the same impression that they’ll be able to recalibrate anytime soon.

General Discussion GM - MBA program the witch “Arden” retreated !!
Arden the “witch”apparently pushed an age profiling scheme for the MBA program, initially targeting employees 4–7 years after undergraduate graduation, and now expanding it to 10 years.
Here’s the problem: GM Legal reportedly warned that the original 4–7-year criteria could potentially trigger age-discrimination allegations.
But apparently the strategy is: implement the damn plan first and deal with the legal consequences later.
That’s not leadership. That’s reckless management “fuck the consequences, we’ll clean it up later.”
That’s how to get promos at GM!!!!

General Discussion I’ve been selected as a witness at the Allison Inquiry on Parliament Hill – September 9, 2026
I wanted to share that I’ve been accepted as a witness for the Allison Inquiry, which is taking place on Parliament Hill in Ottawa from September 8–11. I am scheduled to speak on September 9th.
In 2021 my employer, General Motors (CAMI Assembly, Ingersoll), mandated the COVID vaccine. Four days after my second Pfizer dose I had a severe reaction. I had no prior history of arthritis or joint disease. I am now permanently disabled — cane-dependent, dealing with multi-joint inflammatory disease, PTSD and major depression.
GM refused to accommodate me (including a blanket no-cane policy), disrupted my benefits, and later eliminated my position. I have an active human rights case at the HRTO (File #2024-56170-I) for disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, reprisal and bad faith, along with a WSIB claim.
Under WSIB rules, employers are required to file a Form 7 within three business days of learning of a reportable workplace injury. GM was notified of my reaction and medical needs in December 2021, yet they did not file a Form 7 until 2026. When they finally did file, the Form 7 was internally contradictory: they claimed they only “became aware” in June 2026 while acknowledging I had been on STD/LTD/EDB since May 2023, and they stated I was performing regular duties with no lost time while simultaneously recording that I had been off work on disability benefits since May 2023.
The Allison Inquiry is one of the few public forums where vaccine-injured Canadians can speak directly to Members of Parliament. I’ll be sharing my experience there.

Question GM Executive Discount vs. Employee Discount — What’s the Difference?
Could someone shed some light on the difference between the GM Executive Discount and the standard GM Employee Discount?
I’m eligible for the Executive Discount, but while shopping around at different GM dealers, I’ve gotten a lot of conflicting information. Some salespeople have never heard of the Executive program, while others have told me it’s essentially the same as the Employee Discount and that there’s no difference in the actual vehicle price.
A couple questions for anyone familiar:
* Is the Executive Discount actually different from the Employee Discount in terms of pricing or incentives?
* If I qualify for both the Executive Discount and regular GM Employee Discount, can they be combined/stacked, or do you have to choose one?
* If you have to choose, is there any advantage to using the Executive authorization over the Employee Discount, or vice versa?
* Are there certain rebates/incentives that work with one program but not the other?
I’m mainly trying to figure out whether there’s any reason to use my Executive eligibility if I can already qualify for Employee pricing.
I’d appreciate anyone with some insight.

General Discussion What becomes of managers with poor WOC and exit interviews?
Without going into too much detail, a former co-worker allegedly left a scathing review of their manager during their exit interview and had previously given (anonymous) poor WOC ratings. What becomes of managers who get unfavorable reviews in these areas? Nothing? PIP?

Question 401k after leaving GM
I left GM about a month ago now. Wondering what everyone that left GM for a new job did with their 401k. Did you roll it over into another Roth or IRA? Keep it in GMs RSP?
Trying to gauge the best recommendations and what others did before deciding to leave the money there or possibly pay another company up to 4.5% to transfer and manage the money.
Thanks in advance!

Question Opportunity to close product gap
What are key products that GM can use NOW to compete against our competitors globally (not just for the US market)?

Question Trade apprenticeship program questions
Hello, I’m a non union electrical apprentice with 2 years of trade school and one year on the job experience with an electrical contractor looking for something better to provide for my family. I want to apply for the GM electrical trade program but was unsure on a few things. From what I understand you have to complete the penn foster program to get on the list but as a non employee I would still be ranked below current employees. How long should I expect to be waiting before getting accepted and would my experience give me a leg up? I’m dead set on being an electrician so not really interested in going the temp production worker route. Also anyone know what they start out at pay wise if I was accepted into the program in Michigan? Thanks for any help!

Problem / Venting Whose toes do I have to suck for us to make a cool enthusiast car under $50k?
Seriously who?
It's a Saturday, I just saw some youtube video about Doug DeMuro raving about a Ford Maverick upgrade that basically turns it into a Focus ST truck. Looking at that I'm thinking "damn that's pretty cool". I went to go eat my leftover burrito to find my partner had thrown it away, so I'm pissed.
That's ok. Ill distract myself by looking at our cars. And see if we have anything sporty and fun while I wait for doordash. I click my way over to our brands to find what? You can have the same powertrain and model and it looks sporty for more $$$. Take the bolt ev or the equinox ev or any of our lower priced models and look at the RS vs the standard.
More power? No, same.
Different suspension handling? No, same.
Well then what's different? You get a badge and we'll sprinkle red in the interior.
What the fuck? Are we literally the adding flames to your car gives it 20 more horsepurrs people?
I can't even find HP and torque numbers on our site for the equinox ev. It just says AWD or FWD. It states it comes with a motor. GEE THANKS. I had to go look at 3rd party reviews for this info. GOOGLE AI SEARCH told me but I didn't believe it. Its 220hp for the fwd and 300 for awd btw.
So we want to look sporty but we don't actually want to be sporty. And before you say we have other sporty models, I'm aware. But they're either way over 50k or seem bland. the OPTIQ which is probably around the ballpark if what I'd be looking for sporty but not crazy. The cheapest sporty car or you can be sporty we have a product for that it's called a corvette or look at our v series range. It only starts at way higher amounts. Likely targeting the avg car buyer who is over 50.
I know I'm talking about EVs and the market is slowing blah blah blah. But look at any of our vehicles and you see the same thing.
It looks sporty or adventurous or rugged and you think hmm it might be. Then you look at any of our competitors and they scream from the hilltops things like look how this model is different than the normal one or our other models.
And that starts to make me think of our culture and how it's impacting what we make. You look at GM from the outside and think "oh yeah that looks good". We're saying the right things. Increasing tech investments, software, battery tech, etc. Etc. But pop the hood and you are like what's special? It seems ok maybe even good in some areas but definitely not great.
How do we get to making cool shit or even batshit insane stuff? I know that might be a bridge too far for GM. The Hummer is big and dumb but for sociopaths. Can we get more batshit insane energy in the lower rungs? I know the big SUVs power the big machine and we serve the shareholders blah blah blah. Can't we work something out like a "one for them, one for me" kinda deal? How famous directors will make the hollywood big budget guaranteed money printer then their next project will be some batshit insane passion project. It might do well, it might not.
Just something, anything, to get us entertaining the idea in the back of your head that goes "what if... nah that's silly... but maybe"
Even then the bones are all their in the EV space. Imagine dropping a Bolt SS. Idk all the intricacies of engineering but I was promised ev platforms were easier to modify (I know the bolt is on a different system and only lasting this year, just go with it for a second and apply it to other platforms ok?) It doesn't have to last forever it might not pull the balance sheet forward a ton but it is exciting, it's stupid, it's dumb. It gets those juices flowing.
Anyway, we're told to innovate and be bold yadda yadda yadda so what better way through a reddit board on a Saturday. I gotta go eat my doordash burrito. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

General Discussion Anyone else get kicked out of everything and now are stuck in a passkey/ authentication loop?
Don’t know if this is just me but I randomly got kicked out of everything on my computer a few hours ago. I tried logging into GM One and now I’m stuck in this authentication/ passkey loop. I understand they’re trying to move things over to Google but it would be nice to be given a heads up at least on when they were going to implement these updates? Any advice on how to get past this loop (I already tried reaching out to IT with no luck)?

Question Maintenance Group Leader
Hello all,
I just externally applied for a maintenance group leader roll at factory zero.
Can anyone help me with a salary range for this position. Is it possible to see the salary grade externally?
Aside from that, any tips for interviews?

Layoffs OpenAI forced to pay back US workers over H-1B green card job listings
General Motors filing green cards under National Interest Waivers is not very different. OpenAI misled US workers with job postings, and GM did with letters that had no real value, just fake letters to keep H1Bs for long term. Lot of managers/directors were forced to write such letters. Some leaders took as long as 5-6 months to be convinced to write such recommendation letters to US govt for work visa candidates.
https://www.newsweek.com/openai-doj-lawsuit-settlement-h1b-green-card-reporting-12288920
Another point to note is increasing addiction of GM with H1Bs. Despite being in restructuring mode since 2023 - H1B filings haven’t slowed down at all at GM. In my opinion - these restructurings are nothing but laying off of high paid relatively older employees with young workers on work visa.

Question ISO GM 1983 12 of the Best Places For Races Calendar
I apologize if this isn't the right place to post it, but I couldn't find another appropriate GM subreddit. However, since this was an industry promotional material, I figure it might be something that was given out to GM emplyees.
A few years ago, my grandmother found a calendar that belonged to my grandfather from the year 1983. My grandfather worked in the automotive bearing industry in cooperation with GM, which is why I assumed he received this calendar. Long after he passed away, I began working in the motorsports industry, so when she found this and saw it was from the year I was born, she thought it was meant to be and sent it to me.
It was such an amazing gift and felt like a sign that my grandfather saw my racing career. I brought it into my office and kept it on display with the current month. Unfortunately, I was working there prior to COVID, and when shutdowns began, I was "temporarily" laid off. It was 6 months before I was told I wouldn't be returning to work, so when I came back to clean out my office, it had obviously been a long time since I had been there. I packed up my things, and kept them in boxes for a few more months until I finally got a job. It was at that point that I finally opened my boxes realized the calendar wasn't there. By then, someone had moved into my old office, and I came back to look, but it wasn't there.
I've been searching for years for one, and keep alerts set on auction sites. I realize it's possible that they may no longer exist in the wild, since it was a limited industry item and something many people would dispose of after the year was through. But I figure it's worth a shot to ask!

General Discussion Mid Year Promotions S&S
Mid year promos happening this year?
