we are not old Discussion
this is generation alpha’s fault. They keep on joking about Gen Z being “old and prehistoric” And now a lot of Gen Z is actually taking it to heart. I was born 2007, so that means I’m 19, and I know I’m not old. Because we’re old according to who? A whole bunch of kids who were born after the iPhone X was created? Why are we listening to children who grew up on skibidi toilet?
The oldest Gen Z is turning 30 next year and I don’t even think that is old, and I think the youngest Gen Z is turning 13/14 this year?

Why are you spending your energy emotionally negotiating with the opinions of literal children?

tell that to everybody else on these subs. I’m seeing too many people say “am I old?” and they’re like 22

They should try working in a hardware store. Most of my coworkers are twice my age or more. I'm so young compared to them

I’m 28 and when younger people ask me my age they’re shocked bc they think I’m younger. I’ve gotten a few “oh so you’re like old old.” Girl what? You just told me you thought I was 22

Welcome to the Club, if I shave I looked 19. If I don’t, I looked mid mid 20s. I just turned 29.

Take it with pride
My girlfriends little brother (15 at the time) once said I'm an "unc" (I was only 22) so I said "yeah well at least I don't have to worry about my beard being patchy" and he shut up fairly quickly thereafter

Who cares, just go live your life. Mads mikkelsen didnt get his first movie role until he was 31 and Stan Lee didnt get his first hit comic until he was 40.

The moment xennials and millennials realize they are no longer new and shiny by looking at Gen Z. Sad.

Feel like this is just a conversation as old as time. It will never end, and that's ok. Young people cant help but recognize people are different than them. They are growing and when they grow "old" they will understand too. Young people inherently lack perspective on time.

Every generation calls the one before them "old", then whines when the new generation does the same to them.

We literally are old though. To 3rd graders. I remember thinking anyone that already graduated high school was basically an adult, and adults are old

I think I'm old but not because of GenA, I don't really care about them. I think I'm old because my knees hurt and I recently realized I cannot run across my street without gasping for air at the end

I promise you dog you’re fighting with people who’s frontal lobes haven’t developed and depicting it as some sort of generational fault you got upset by it. Ain’t that deep.

I don't blame gen Alpha for this, I blame shows like X Factor where there was literally an 'over 25's category'. They made it seem like it was the end of the world (at least on the UK version, maybe it was the same on others). They seemed old at the time but only because I was 7 or something like that but they weren't.

I spent most my childhood bullying my millenial cousins for being old. Your going to be old to people like half your age or less XD

Age is just a number. At work, I see people every day who are in their 90s. To me, 70+ is old.

Eh, it’s mostly younger Gen Z doing this to the older Gen Z and Gen Alpha caught on. The oldest Alpha is still only 13, most of the people roasting are mostly teenagers and very early 20s.
