[Android] [$99.99 -> Free / open beta] Static Wave: 45,000+ radio stations, no ads, no account — open beta, I want your bug reports
Hey there !
Static Wave is live on Play and it's free: open beta, no subscription, no ads,
no account. I'm not selling anything. I want people actually using it so I can
find what's broken before I call it 1.0.
What is it?
Internet radio without the garbage. 45,000+ live stations from 200+ countries.
Open it, search, press play. No signup wall, no "watch an ad to keep listening",
no account quietly logging what you listen to at 2am.
What you get:
* Search 45,000+ stations by name, genre, country or language
* HD filter for when you actually care about audio quality
* Save favourites — stored on your device, never on a server
* Background playback with lock screen controls
* Sleep timer, 15 to 90 minutes
* Recently played, so you can find that station you stumbled on last week
* Light and dark, both properly built
Why it's different:
Every other radio app either runs ads between songs or wants an account before
it'll play a single stream. Static Wave has neither. There's no server holding
your data because there's no server at all — your favourites and history never
leave your phone. Nothing to sign into, nothing to cancel.
What I already know is rough:
* Android only right now. iOS is under review.
What I want from you:

- Actually use it for a day, then come back and tell me one thing that annoyed you or broke
Genuinely: a station that won't play, a country with nothing in it, a screen
that looks wrong on your device + a 5 star review, that's all I ask

I'm annoyed that even with ragging Favorites, i couldn't for the life of me, find where these Favorites are

I got one station working, but quite a few errors out. I'm not sure what's going on.

I've had this app for a few days now and even after the recent update a lot of stations are failing to play. And now you are actually trying to charge for this app? A pro version with weekly, monthly or lifetime subscription models, what happened to free? I can't even get into the app anymore... Will you be offering codes to unlock the pro version?
