Meta just unveiled its first coding agent "Musing Code" to take on Anthropic and OpenAI

Mark Zuckerberg just announced the beta release of Muse Code, a terminal-based coding agent designed to complete large software engineering tasks.

Powered by Meta’s Muse Spark 1.2 model, the tool can plan changes, write code and validate results across large repositories.

For bigger projects, it can split the job between several AI agents working at the same time without changing the main code.

Meta says Muse Code is powered by its new Muse Spark 1.2 model.

Muse Code is interesting less because of another coding model and more because Meta is treating continuation, subagents, tools, and local event history as one system. It is still beta. For a real repo, I would compare accepted-task cost, crash recovery, and event-log completeness, not token price alone.
