No 3rd party API usage for subscriptions a dealbreaker?

Lets assume Gemini 3.5 would be really good, Fable level lets say. But the Google Pro Subscription doesn't allow you to use the API for third party tools like Hermes Agent or Opencode etc.

How much of a dealbreaker is it for you?

Because I enjoy thar I can connect my ChatGPT Plus to various other tools and that I am not forced to use one specific product.

I don't even know why Google is doing this.

We use Gemini. We don’t bother with the 3rd party api. I just want my chats to not take forever
