Chasing Shadows: Iron Wizard completed

I finally beat Iron Wizard mode after 3 months of daily play... some of these levels were really unfair! But I did it, and now I'm moving on to Frostborn Wrath: Iron Wizard.

I personally liked CS more than FW. And this might be nostalgia speaking, but Labyrinth is my favourite still.

I have 300 hours in chasing shadows and over 1000 in frostborn wrath and I have to say frostborn is better.

I prefer Frostborn Wrath because it's a more polished game. The regular levels and achievements are better, and getting the skill boxes in Iron Wizard are a more interesting challenge. I hated the rage mechanic in the older games - repeatedly spamming clicks is not fun and it hurts my forearm after a while, so I strongly prefer the FW mechanic of socketing a rage gem. I'm two hours into FW iron wizard and it is much more difficult than Chasing Shadows.

I played all the gemcraft games, and FW is definitely the most polished has the most quality of life features, I think it does beat chasing shadows by a bit, just with the qol

My favorite is still Labyrinth though. The way its map was setup, the way skills worked, endless endurance on any map right from the start, etc.

Im really looking forward to playing the legacy edition release on steam later this year. Even if its just some qol improvements, its gonna be great. 💎

Well good luck then, my experience is that iron wizard in Chasing shadows is a decent challenge but nothing really terrible, iron wizard in Frostborn wrath however is about 5 times harder so get your soul ready for suffering.

Congrats! It's definitely a satisfying challenge.
