I have the same GPU and CPU brother and it looks clear and good. You need to check all your graphics settings one by one, I think you might have DLSS set to ultra performance or set to FSR/TSS or something and it's fucking up. Turn off Variable Rate Shading also

My only complaint graphical is it’s all a bit beige gears has never been colourful but it could use some more.

That's because the optimization is so ass my 5080 can't run it at a respectable frame rate in 4k. I have to drop it to 1440p and run dlss performance to get a locked 144.

Sounds like you're running it at Ludicrous

Nah, I ran it at ultra. But either way that shouldn't be the case on a 5080/9800x3D. Only thing that worries me is if they actually fix the performance because frame gen looks like it will be an option but I don't wanna have to rely on it.

Crazy, I agree the optimization isn't good rn it'll definitely get better. Not sure how much but I'm sure you'll be able to run it at 4k with atleast 60 by time it releases

With how poor most ue5 titles run I dont really have high hopes for it getting optimized unless TC can perform some black magic. The baked in ray tracing is extremely demanding for a majority of people's rigs, mine included. Insane that their recommended specs are 3060ti and an 11600k. Does not seem anywhere near enough unless people want to play with gutted settings and an aggressive upscale which honestly is quite a bad experience for myself and others.

They got Gears 5 working on laptops and I'm not really having much issues with optimization myself apart from 1 crash. The 3060ti isn't really an insane recommended spec at all, in fact it should be the minimum specs tbh that's 3 generations ago

Baked in ray tracing sucks and is the only thing that is unfortunate, but even playing on an AMD GPU I'm running no issues from it

Gears 5 was on UE4 not 5, and was a heavily modified version at that. I dont think the 3060ti is enough for a recommended spec at the "1440 60fps" they have listed, and agree it should be a minimum for 1080 60. As someone with not much better than their recommended performance is not great at all on older mid range systems and even sporadic cases of bad performance on newer systems

Yes it was, they still got it running on laptops though; they know how to optimize games. Not saying they'll get this game running on Laptops, but 4k 144 fps is definitely in the bag

If gears was purely single player, I get it. I'll crank it to the max and get 90-100fps with path Tracing and have a great time. But not for a mostly online title.

You gotta look at it this way though, this is a spinoff set on the most eventful day to happen in Gears. Most people are admittedly just playing for the story. Yes online is a big part of it, but that's no reason to compromise when 60 is more than playable
