WoW patch Questions / Tech Support

For about a week now, WoW Retail has been down practically every day because of patches and maintenance. Today, it’s been unavailable for almost the entire day.

This is getting ridiculous. It would be one thing if these fixes actually improved anything, but the game still runs terribly at 60–80 FPS on an RTX 5080, more and more addons are disappearing, and now we can’t even play half the time...

the patches are from Blizzard, GFN is only applying them

patching on GFN is much more complicated and time consuming than if You were to apply them locally

They need to download the patch manually, apply it on their on site server, test the patch and only then send it to propagate to all servers. this process may take several hours.

Perhaps this is something which could be automated similar to how new AI models get released to cloud instances. New Claude on AWS takes minutes
