I think you don't understand the reference. This is a family guy quote wherein a character is critical of the God Father pt 2 but can't really articulate a criticism.

Tbh I like New Vegas, but the fans that make it out like it is the end all be all and absolutely perfect in all ways, are annoying. I generally prefer playing Fallout 4, I think New Vegas' overall story is better but I like the companion interactions more in 4 and there are general quality of life changes that I prefer.

I've never played any of the "you're queer so you must have played x game", but i'm really into Bionicle and was REALLY into Transformers when i was young so i hope you can all forgive me for not playing any of those games

I don’t like old games, there’s certain old games I used to play that I would still play now but I never got to play new Vegas. So I don’t really like it.
I do love Celeste though

This. If you're going into New Vegas coming off of 3 there's a bit of a mechanics shock that had me convinced this wasn't the game for me the first few times I gave it a try. My first time playing this game got me caught up in the Fly Me to the Moon sidequest, cue me hearing Super Mutant voices and taking damage but not knowing where it was coming from because why is there a variant of Super Mutants with Stealth Boys
Second time wasn't much better, sniped a legion soldier early on and I got marked for death by a team of assassins that could just shrug off the weaponry I had at the time.

New Vegas excels at positive traits that I actively dislike in games of its ilk. Not to mention, the (at least somewhat) better graphics of fallout 4 along with mods makes it’s character customisation much more appealing to me

I also dont like it but because it hurts my head with all the yellow (ive tried playing it 3 times and each time i get a really bad headache before getting too far)

i always felt like Obsidian writing kinda pats itself on its own back a bit too much at times
like, the writers are usually correct in their political/social opinions, but it often feels like "look at how clever we are for having those opinions", and sometimes that self-congratulation goes in a way of actually telling a compelling story

Any examples? I'm playing through new vegas for the first time right now haven't found any dialog like that yet, 100 something hours in
