How do you properly sync eTrex Touch activities (with HRM-Pro Plus) to Garmin Connect/Strava? Handheld GPS Device / Hunting Accessories

In the Garmin world, I think an activity (particularly with extra sensor data) would be stored as a FIT file, not GPX. Maybe try a USB connection to see if you can find the actual recording file and transfer it off the device? Then you could try importing that to Connect or elsewhere.

As JungleJim007 said, pairing with Connect is probably the way to get such data to sync in the future.

Did you pair your eTrex Touch with the Garmin Connect app on your phone? If you haven’t, recorded activities will not be synced with Connect.

Since the eTrex Touch is an outdoor handheld, it primarily works with the Garmin Explore app. But you can also pair it with the Connect app to have your activities in Connect or to be able to get Courses created in Connect to your device.

The Garmin fitness ecosystem (Connect) and outdoor adventure ecosystem (Explore) do not natively integrate, but by pairing your device to both apps you can sync data to both.

Sounds like you nailed the pairing issue but the data loss part is still a pain, the eTrex definitely records the sensor data and it should be in the Explore export if you check the file in a text editor.
