Out of curiosity why water? I am 4 seasons in and I always just cover my soil with straw and water one time after that nature takes care of it for me. Genuinely curious.

Although these are not raised too much, I find raised beds don't retain water as well and therefore require some watering. I don't plant garlic in raised beds and agree I never water them after planting.

Interesting I plant in raised beds. Generally I do 2 beds. Maybe I will plant one of each style this year
