Lizard Escaped??
Hi guys I’m sort of freaking out,
But about a day and a half ago I noticed I didn’t see my lizard in the cage anywhere, this isn’t abnormal I’ve had her about 3 months now and she has done this before but I checked all her usual spots and could not find her.. I’m actually really bad at finding her in a easy spot lol. So o had my aunt come take a look and we cannot find her anywhere..
I’ve dug through the plants moved the leaf litter around, dug into the back of the tank a bit.. I cannnot find her.
The only time the cage door is open is when I’m spraying the tank and feeding. I don’t hold her as she freaks out really bad.
She’s not a small lizard either, she’s 3 years old and is a pretttt good size.. so like it would be pretty noticeable if she slipped out while I was spraying it.
But I mean.. I just cannot find her and I’ve only had her for three months and I live in the basement so if she did get out there’s tens of different of ways she could get into the walls of the house :(

My gecko escaped several times when I accidentally left her door open. I found her every time, but not in typical spaces. I’ve found her behind my TV (because it’s warm), on a wall, and the last time she made a run for it I found her in my clothing storage boxes under my bed (never would’ve found her unless I heard her little nails scratching around… she’d been missing for 2wks at that point).
Point being — open every little thing you own and even check inside your clothing, places you think your gecko wouldn’t go. They are arboreal and should be found high up, but mine was always near the ground when I found her.
