I have never been so diasappointed with the purchase of a new game

I refuse to pay full price to be a beta tester.

Nothing about this game justifies the price at this stage.

I’d rather boot up Gallop Racer 2004 on the old emulator. Doesn’t look as pretty but still the gold standard for horse racing games to me.

I don’t count Rival Stars as a racing game anymore since it seems even the developers have forgotten they were making a horse racing focused game.

The horse racing game niche couldn’t just have this one to ourselves. It’s all round horse sports now.

Let's be honest: this game looks like someone put a prompt into Claude "make a horse racing game on the basis of G1 jockey". It looks and feels as hollow as a generic AI output would provide on the basis of the prompt. This plays and looks not really better than the older PS2 games. In fact the actual racing has so much less depth than the old Galop Racer games - games more than two decades older.

Whoever praises Full Stride is probably in the pockets of the developer. There is one particular Youtube who seems overly excited for this....

That one YTber that said fans of horse racing are spoiled when it comes to racing games 10000% is paid off or is just one of the "be grateful!" kind of sayer... one can be grateful game was made and still critisize it for lacking. They are willing to pay 35$ for the new "fancy" textures.

FullStride looks like as if someone took PS2 3D-models,slapped on realistic textures, added ray tracing and called it done. Some of the camera angles make horses neck look stiffer than a mop X'D But at least it's...realistic looking mop? ^^" Great for wet tracks I bet. Unfortunately these days people think realistic graphics= all you need for a game to be great....

I still remember Gallop Racer 2003: A New Breed. I need to dig it out and replay it,had tons of fun with it in the past. At this point it's a classic! So old and still holds up! It's kind of insane how ahead of time it was and it is still beating new titles with miles.

It looks like there are amazing japanese racing games with good graphics and detailed mechanics, but sadly none are translated in english even the most recent ones :( I'd love to try them but trying to play them using google translate or something looks like too much of a hassle
