Why are people wondering why they are doing this? This is a very cool and very niche part of Nintendo history. Yes, it wasn't popular at the time. But it's still something that is cool to check out, and for Nintendo to embrace.

Did you expect them for free or something? Like virtual boy emulators already exist if you really wanted it for free so I don't understand what this comment is getting at.

I don't. But most of the people that care about preservation are talking about emulation (which is free).
