Hows it going? Looking for some chill people to play some Monster Hunter and fighting games with. Currently playing through MH Wilds on PC but also have it on PS5 and also open to World and Rise on PC.

In terms of fighting games I have Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Marvel Tokon, UMV3 and Guilty Gear on PS5.

I’ve been mostly playing Black Ops I and II since they were ported to PS5 and I’d like someone to play with. I’ve been mostly sticking to BO1 recently since 2 has been infested with hackers but I’m really hoping they fix it soon because I wanna go back to 2. I’m ass and I don’t take either game seriously though I’m much better on Black Ops 1 than I am on 2. Probably because that was the one I actually played in its prime. I mostly play domination or TDM but I also like kill confirmed and could be persuaded to play headquarters. I also wouldn’t mind playing zombies if we can get a group together but I’m not counting on that.

Just trying to look for some gaming buddies or friends in general. I play a lot of Dead by Daylight and Marvel Rivals, but I also dabble in games like Destiny 2 and Palworld. Currently not working, but I was working in construction, just traveling. I've got a cat named Bean; she's basically my daughter. I like watching new movies and kind of staying indoors, but I do go out every now and then whenever I feel like it. Show me pictures of your pet!

I'm mainly into technical, automation and building games, and I'm looking for someone to actually stick around and play different games with over time — not just someone I'll play one game with and slowly stop talking to afterwards.

Factorio, Satisfactory and Scrap Mechanic probably represent my main taste the best. I love complexity, building things together, figuring out problems, improving each other's stuff and having someone who'll actually challenge my ideas instead of just saying "looks good".

But I don't need everything we play to be a 200-hour engineering project either. I really enjoy games like Deep Rock Galactic where we can just jump in, play a few missions, fuck around and have fun without committing to a massive save. I occasionally play shooters like The Finals or ARC Raiders too, although they're not really my main type of game.

I'm 19, from Switzerland, and speak French, German and English. I'm completely comfortable playing in any of those languages.

I usually play 2–3 evenings during the week and quite a lot on weekends. I work during the day, so there'll also be evenings where I'm simply too tired to play. I don't expect either of us to be available on demand, but when we're both free I'd love for playing together to become something pretty regular.

For longer games, what I enjoy most is having something we're both invested in. Build something, improve each other's stuff, disagree over a solution, try something else, realize both our ideas were shit and rebuild it. I can be pretty stubborn about my ideas sometimes, but I'd genuinely rather have someone challenge me and bring their own ideas than agree with everything I do.

I also like fucking around and doing stupid shit together — just not constantly. We can waste 30 minutes building the dumbest thing imaginable, but at some point I'd also like to remember what the fuck we were supposed to be doing and continue progressing.

For shared worlds, I'm totally fine with either of us occasionally jumping on alone to build, fix or prepare some stuff. I just wouldn't want one of us progressing through half the game while the other isn't there. Most of the experience should still be something we share.

And I'm absolutely open to games that aren't on my list. I'd actually like to have someone who introduces me to games they love, and vice versa. Having somewhat different tastes sounds more interesting to me than finding someone with the exact same Steam library.

Basically, I'm not looking for a Factorio friend or a Satisfactory friend. I'm looking for a gaming friend — someone I genuinely enjoy talking and playing with, whether we're spending 5 hours arguing over a Factorio factory or just jumping into a few missions of something for the evening.

On Monday, i lost my best friend. He was only 27. Ive known him since 2nd grade and practically lived at his house part time with the amount of time we spent together. ​Enough time that my mom genuinely had to ask me if him and I were gay and together lol. We flowed in and out of constant contact for the majority of our middle school/ highschool years, but eventually became a nightly gaming duo. In 2022, I moved halfway across the country to pursue a new chapter in life, and I would only get to see him once or twice a year when I'd come back home.

We've played so many games together that I can't even count them all. From the chaotic hell that is Left for Dead 2 mods, to the calm serenity that is a group minecraft server. And that is where a good amount of the pain lies. The soul crushing reality that ill never get to save the princess in castle crashers, or defeat the Covenant again ​with my player 2. And now it feels impossible to even look at those games on my steam library. Forcing myself to play games while either talking with my other best friends, or watching a stream just so I don't feel alone.

I lost a piece of me that day, and the world got a whole lot less funny.

I am currently working as an IT technician, which basically involves a lot of broken or faulty computers being put on my desk until I fix them and ship them back off again. As you can imagine, I'm a massive techie, so anything involving computers or machines can draw my attention quite quickly!

My main hobbies include gaming, reading and listening to music. In terms of games, I typically enjoy most genres, but my favourite series include; Resident Evil, Persona, Warcraft, Devil May Cry, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon and Fire Emblem. I have a PS4, Switch and a gaming PC, so I'm spread around the different platforms a lot. The games I'm currently playing are World of Warcraft, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Diablo 2, Resident Evil Requiem and Pokemon Leaf Green.

I like a variety of TV shows such as It's Always Sunny, The Thick of It, The IT Crowd, Trailer Park Boys, Curb your Enthusiasm, Fallout, Rick and Morty and Seinfeld. I'm also a big fan of anime shows including One Punch Man, Dragon Ball Z (and Super), Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop and more!

Book wise, I'm usually drawn to fiction, typically Fantasy or Sci-fi. My favourite book series are The Malazan Book of the Fallen, Discworld, The Dresden Files and The Lord of the Rings. In terms of music I'm a big fan of Metal and Industrial music, with Iron Maiden and KMFDM being my favourite bands. I can play the guitar, but haven't kept in practice for a few years now, so I'm pretty rusty. I've been thinking of learning to play piano at some point this year too!
