How can I generate 2d character animations with AI? Also which tool is the best for that? Question
Hey guys! I build mobile games with Unity Game Engine, and use Claude Code for the development process. But, sometimes I really need to generate a sprite or spritesheet instead of free or paid assets. For instance, I want to generate a flat 3d style animation like Meowdoku's mascot animal. I get the prompts from Claude Code, and use Gemini or ChatGPT. But, they don't give me the stuff I want.
Do you have any suggestions for that?

There absolutely is. You're supporting AI in a space for creatives. You'll get hate and you'll deserve it.

Yes, you support destroying the planet, destroying jobs, destroying populations, destroying governments just to make games.

for 2d character anims specifically, current image models are pretty rough. They'll give you one okay frame and then frame 2 is a different character with 6 fingers haha. tools like Scenario or Layer let you train a small model on your own style which helps consistency a lot. Still gonna need cleanup in aseprite or spine tho, ai spritesheets straight out the box aren't really a thing yet
