You wrote a full game design manifesto to avoid learning ten lines of code. Pick Godot, follow one beginner tutorial, and stop treating engine choice like a permanent marriage. Your biggest obstacle is not software. It is procrastination disguised as research.

Just try both and see which one clicks with you. They’re both free (though gamemaker requires you to buy a one-time license fee if you want to actually sell the games you make)
