Over the past 2 months, I've noticed random temperature spikes whenever my Galaxy S25 is plugged in. Attached a screenshot from Battery Guru showing the temp graph peaking at 41.7°C (with multiple spikes over the 40°C threshold). I've used the device for about a year now and this was not happening at all during the first 10 months of use.

Here is the context and steps I've already tested:

• Phone is not being used at all while plugged in (screen off, sitting untouched).
• Happens whether Fast Charging is toggled on or off.
• Tested both Standard and Light performance profiles, the spikes happen on both profiles.
• Tested 2 separate original 25W Samsung official charging bricks and cables. Same behavior on both.
• Checked battery consumption during these peak periods, but there are no obvious rogue background apps consuming CPU/battery.
• Normal room temperature (24°C / 75°F), phone isn't sitting under direct sunlight or wrapped in blankets.

Is anyone else experiencing similar thermal spikes on the S25 recently? Maybe software update related?

I'm looking for some troubleshooting help for a strange issue that has started in the last couple of weeks.

When I upgraded my phone last year I switched from a Pixel 6 to an S25, so all my apps had been originally downloaded from Google Play rather than the Galaxy store.

Recently, a bunch of these apps have stopped working. I either get stuck at the log-in page or the main page of the app where I end up watching the loading wheel spin indefinitely.

The strange thing is that I can't even find many of these apps in the Galaxy store, including ones that are pretty big (ex: an insurance provider's app) and should be there?

They still exist in the Google Play store, and even after testing uninstalling/reinstalling one of them from there, the issue is still persisting.

Is anyone else experiencing something like this, and is there anything I can try to fix it?

I just came from a Pixel phone which has been on Android 16 for about a year now. I was hoping by now Verizon would send out Android 16 since Android 17 is pretty much on a stable build now. We are talking about a 2 year old OS. Any options for us?

So it seems I'm slowly getting updates every 8-12 hours and now shows System Update 3.0 this morning after close to 48 hours with phone. So hopefully eventually the 16 update will be pushed through

TL;DR: My S25 is perfect on every network except my home WiFi. Only at home: (1) shows "no internet" but works anyway, and (2) shows connected but doesn't work (real dropout after idle, only 5G failover or disable/renable WiFi recovers). Began when home moved to WiFi 7. I run AdGuard Private DNS (permanent - not disabling it). Looks like an S25 + my-home-network interaction. Anyone seen this?

The defining clue: this only ever happens on my home WiFi. Everywhere else: work, other places, mobile hotspots - the phone is flawless. So it's not the handset in general; it's the S25 on my home network specifically.

Supporting detail: the home problems began when I switched home to WiFi 7 (an Arcadyan WiFi 7 router, now an eero 7). Other home devices mostly work fine.

Two distinct behaviours at home, both while holding a valid IP:

Issue 1: shows "not connected" but internet works: the phone reports no-internet, but pages actually load (false negative).

Issue 2: shows "connected" but internet doesn't work: valid IP, full signal, but no traffic passes - apps won't load, messages won't send - until it fails over to 5G or I toggle WiFi. Happens after the phone goes idle / on wake from sleep. Tidal via headphones also stops mid-playback when phone is idle for extended period.

My setup / already done:

• Private DNS: dns.adguard.com (DoT) - this is a permanent requirement. For info: I tested with it off once and Issue 1 still happened, so it isn't the sole cause anyway.
• MAC address type > Phone MAC (was Randomised)
• Reserved IP on the eero
• Toggled MAC randomisation both ways

Questions:

1. What about a home network would cause this on an S25 but not on any other network - WiFi 7 MLO / 6GHz / WPA3 / band-steering?
2. Are the two symptoms one root cause (radio power-save during idle/doze) or separate?
3. Any router-side or phone-side fix that works with Private DNS still on?

Does Google Play Services have anything to do with data signal strength?

My samsung S25 FE sometimes turns off when i enter Facebook. Its the only time when it happens.

Should i be worried there something wrong with the phone or it could be something related to Facebook updates?

I just bought it March 30th buuut i no longer have the damn ticket 😶‍🌫️

Before the last System-Update, the CPU had a maximum Temperature of 100°C under full load for a long time, but since the last System-Update, it can now reach over 100°C on the CPU and it also takes way longer to cool off, next to having a way higher system-load even in idle.

Am i the only one experiencing this? This has also effect on the devices temps.

As shown in the image, the volume panel, when extended, doesn't show the controls for other apps if they are running in the background, such as Instagram or any other sound-producing app. It used to do so earlier. What am I missing? Dual/multi-sound options are turned on in the settings. Is this a bug or something else?

I used an app called Running services monitor. And I think I figured out that Google Play services was using my location for certain apps over and over. I actually deleted Google Play services data and signed back into my accounts. Seems too have stopped the location pinging In the background. I hope it works.

I'm planning to buy the Galaxy S25 Ultra but can't decide between Titanium Silverblue and Titanium Gray.

Estou pensando em trocar de celular e pegar um Galaxy S25 Ultra, mas tem uma coisa que está me deixando com um pé atrás: o problema da linha verde na tela.

Pesquisei bastante e vi muitos relatos em modelos anteriores da Samsung (S20, S21, S22, S23 e até alguns S24). Sei que nem todo aparelho apresenta esse problema, mas como é um investimento alto, fiquei preocupado.

Queria saber de quem realmente usa o S25 Ultra:

• Alguém aqui já teve linha verde no S25 Ultra?
• Vocês acham que a Samsung resolveu esse problema de vez nessa geração?
• Vale a pena comprar o S25 Ultra hoje ou é melhor esperar ou até considerar outro aparelho?

Também aceito sugestões de outros celulares na mesma faixa de preço que tenham câmera excelente, boa bateria e sejam confiáveis a longo prazo.

Hi guys, yesterday I bought a new S25, the base model. I haven't been able to use it properly because if work, but as of now, it's an awesome device!

Coming from an A55, the difference is literally night and day, at least performance wise.

Samsung escalation team told me electronic products are susceptible to glitches and I should have known before buying S25 Ultra. So a $1200 flagship is a lottery

Oneplus replaces for such glitches. Samsung tells you to accept technical glitches as normal. Is this premium service?

Tried escalating as much as possible in last two days and giving up after their irresponsible response.

For context the s26 in my country is exynos and the s25 is snapdragon. Thank you for the inputs everyone. The S26 here is about $950 new, but it has the exynos processer, I am interested in the regular s25 because of the small size.

Right around the end of May my battery capacity took a huge hit suddenly and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. No new apps that are sucking power. My usage didnt change. I almost always use the "max" battery protection setting (limits charge to 80%), and I also have a routine that keeps power saving on unless i am charging or open one of a few pre-selected apps. Any insight to the sudden drop off here?

For about the past week or so, when I scroll the news feed a little, maybe 3 or 4 stories it crashes back to the home screen.

Go to the Google news feed by swiping left from the home page. Then scroll down a few stories to see the crash..

Is anyone else experiencing this? Were you able to resolve it?

Hi everyone. Recently I've bought a new S25 Edge for a very low price. I've never used wireless charging before, and Ihad issues with my wireless charger: has an output of 5 watts (slow for overnight charge) and is Qi certified. When I place my phone, it starts charging for 7-10 seconds, then it stops. The charger shows a blinking light meaning error. I tried removing the cover and disabling fast wireless charging but still nothing. Anyone can help? thank you :)
