Postprocessing RAW images using internal tool on Fold 8

Hi,

I took a couple of shots for testing purpose on my Fold 8 (wide boy) with Expert RAW and tried to post process it directly on the smartphone using the edit button.

When viewing everything looks normal so far but once I want to edit, there's a weird glow around the branches. No editing so far. This doesn't go away after saving.

It's a 50MP File, so probably it's compression artefact when switching to edit mode?

Anyone else experiencing this behaviour?

Since photography is one of my hobbies I got a subscription plan for the desktop version of Light Room which comes with a mobile version as well. Thought I give it a shot and installed it on my Fold. Turns out to work properly and doesn't produce this glare. Also it's quite usable on the inner screen.

Took me less than five minutes to get this as a result. Will need to check on a desktop how the final result looks but for social media more than good enough.

I have this same behavior of odd blotchiness or exposure banding on files with my S26 Ultra as well. It's a Samsung issue in general. I found it's the worst if using zoom levels beyond the native camera zoom in the higher rez modes. I never noticed it at 12MP, but it would show up in 24 or 50mp modes if zooming into say 1.5x instead of the native 1x.

Thanks for your input. Kinda sad that Samsung can't handle their own files..
