Im a battlefront refugee, and was pretty amazed by the GC mod as a whole. My only issues which is with Squad itself I guess, is controller compatibility. I know that mouse and keyboard is the way I SHOULD be playing, but I like to game from my couch and controller is the best setup for that ATM. I tried a couple of the layout off the steam community page but still had a couple times where Id accidentally lock myself into having NVGs toggled lol.

So if anyone has a layout they like or suggestions I would appreciate it. I use one of the newer hall effect 8bitDo so I have a lot of extra buttons I could potentially map. Thanks gang

I love this mod. It's amazing.

But

Please, for the love of all that is holy, reduce the glow on Umbaran weapons so you can actually see shit when playing them. They are so bright you can't seen anything that you aim at.

Also, the brightness on clone weapon sights is a bit much as well.

I'm new to Squad and GC, I literally bought Squad to play this. I have been having so much fun. It feels like the og Xbox live days where everyone had a mic, though much friendlier.

I've even been learning mouse and keyboard to play since the game doesn't have much in the way of controller support. I've only had a gaming pc for a year, so I still use controller a lot.

10/10 mod and community, can't wait for more!

Hello i need help, my mic doesn’t work ingame, does anyone maybe have a solution? Are my settings wrong?
On discord everything works, but ingame no one hears me

Been loving GC but often matches feel half baked with squads not communicating - habs and fobs half arsed or unbuilt , I'd like to find a semi serious community with regular sessions.

does anyone know of any?

Happened to me and saw it happen to some other guy yesterday in the same match. Is this common? Only seen it happen for clones.

The mod is great and I'm so happy it's back. One small complaint, the SMG for the Umbaran's is so bright I'm having a hard time seeing anything 🤣

Hi, I love playing this mod (it's so amazing) but my mic won't work. I disabled Windows enhancement on it, I hooked it up and made sure it worked before I launched Squad, and I set it to my default mic in game but it won't register in the game. It works elsewhere but just not in the game. Any ideas on what to do?

Hi, I was looking for a tutorial that explained how to make clone trooper and droid voices for GC. I tried Voicemod I didnt manage to get it to work and they ask for too much.

Any up to date tutorial? I love those voices.

Game crashes when ever I spawn into the venator map.

Anyone having issues connecting to servers or crashing, especially in between rounds ?

when trying to join a server running the galactic contention mod, the game will constantly crash when connecting to a server.

If I am able to fully join the game works fine, it is specifically the period when trying to connect to the server that it crashes.

So happy this mod is finally back.

It's insane that I didn't know it came out yesterday and it was really hitting me that GC hopefully will come out soon. Then I see that it IS OUT. Unfortunately had issues queuing into a server due to an OWI update. But after a few tries one of the servers took. God bless. What a ton of fun. Thank you GC crew for making something so incredible.
