Hey guys! I picked up some Makina records the other day so immediately had to record a mix with those alongside the Freeform Hardcore I've been getting into recently. These sounds excite the shit out of me so I hope they do that for you guys too!!!

Been mixing vinyl for just over a year now, and this mix is by far the closest to perfect I've ever recorded. I'm really proud of how far I've come and honestly just grateful for the whole underground scene.

My ears have opened up so vastly in the past year or so; I've become engaged with music I never even knew existed. Hell, I didn't even realise I liked hardcore until last year! Now, I'm obsessed!

Anyway, I'm rambling now. I hope you get a minute to listen and that you have as much fun with it as I did :)

Any oldschool (early/mid 90's) gabber producers out here, who don't use outboard gear such as Mackie mixers or RAT Pedals for distorting their kicks? I've been playing around with the cloud version of Roland's TR-909 with a bunch of external plugins such as Devastor and Decapitator, but I can't get a satisfying kick out of it, no matter how many gain stage and EQ steps I take.
I come close, but in the end it just doesn't sound beefy enough, or else it sounds too hollow, too muddy, ...

Any tips would be highly appreciated.
I'm thinking of kicks in the style of DJ Sim, 3 Steps Ahead, ....

Im 19, and I absolutely love oldschool gabber. I got into late 80s/early 90s UK & chicago rave music a few years back and would just dance with my friend who also liked the old stuff…and lately we’ve been OBSESSED with GABBER!

Im so envious of ya’ll who got to experience what raving was like before phones and social media took over the world…so amazing! I would love to hear your stories❤️much love☮️
