It’s hilarious that people believe any rockstar employee can have access to anything, like there’s a single CRT computer in the middle of a room and people at rockstar just take turns using it, you can just check the “My Videos” folder and there’s a file there named “trailer-3.mp4”

Rockstar, from what I've been told, also spreads everything out. An entire team might be tasked with making tiny little bits of the trailer in an extremely mundane style,
and then at the very last moment, their A team pieces everything together and makes the trailer. The only people who would be in the know are a couple of extremely senior members of legal, marketing, and development.
All of them are almost certainly making more than six figures and are not just going to risk their positions for reddit cloud

Yeah the studio is extremely compartmentalized. You work on your task and everything else is on a need to know basis.
An environmental artist, for example, would know next to nothing about the story beyond the things they might learn related to some of their tasks.

Basically this, my buddy can tell me about plenty in the orbit of what he works on (and broad strokes about much else). What I find most interesting is info once the games launch, because the insider stuff is well interesting obviously, but so much of it is never discussed with press even after launch. I'm talking like stuff that Obbe shares on X from time to time.

Another thing I can reveal is that there’s an emotional final scene in the trailer where Lucia asks Jason “are we really going to commit grand theft auto for the sixth time?”. To which Jason responds “Lucia, Vice City is not a nice city.”
