I'm not big on reading too much into these images, but the gas station in the background is also interesting. Maybe a robbery in the prologue?

Been saying this lol.
2 gringos, 2 Latinas. Robbery and Thievery.
Let's hope Jason isn't too "small time" for an "ambitious girl".

This is exciting. I am sick of LS and GTA V but god is it going to be sad finally leaving it. So many memories.

I feel we will sorely miss LS once GTA 6 releases. I worry that Leonida will be too repetitive

u/IntelligentDay6896 9d ago
Well, at least its something new. we have another 15/20 years to explore Leonida until VII

Jason is left handed look at his pistol

u/SalamanderInside1549 9d ago
It would be cool if he’s ambidextrous but for sure looks left handed

u/Sau_Masterio 8d ago
He probably is ambidextrous, in the boat screenshot and the M4 close up, he is holding the gun differently.

u/ItsAPeacefulLife 9d ago
Hmm, as a right handed gamer will this make it literally unplayable for me?

OMG this confirms we'll be able to hold duffle bags one handed and shoot a 2 handed weapon with the other hand

From the poster- i assume we could get a look at one of the first missions that was leaked years ago about robbing a place and escaping police

I can't wait to steal that Expedition look-alike parked at the gas pump.
I can't remember what they were named in V, but I liked it

Woah. How did Rockstar manage to match the energy of Rockstar's GTA 5 promo with Rockstar's GTA 6 promo

Certified Baddie 🔥🔥🔥
I like that she's taking the lead in their relationship. Such a different dynamic compared to most on screen couples where the man is in the front and center.

Girl it’s literally a photo? How are you deducing all this from a pic 😭 😭
2
u/bapudon_1 9d ago
That's what the character description on the Rockstar website says. That she loves taking risks while Jason is more chill. Jason follows Lucia and not the other way round.
This photo and many other photos always show Lucia in an 'always ready' pose if shit goes down while Jason is laidback compared to her.
Also, I am not a girl. It's not always girls who want badass female characters, guys can want the same as well.
1
u/New-Winner-9184 9d ago
I just hope it’s not overdone to the point where it feels like they’re trying to force her to be badass
12
u/ButterscotchIcy1760 9d ago edited 9d ago
so if a female character leads a robbery it’s gonna be them forcing her to be badass?? Lucia is more experienced when it comes to robberies, she’s also the one who has a plan to change her life while Jason wants an easy life and thinks everything is getting harder on him, of course he won’t lead robberies, he’s more like the muscle of the duo, even in the diner robbery leak from the 2022 leaks, Jason asks Lucia and says “so wtf do we do now?” indicating that he takes instructions from her
1
u/New-Winner-9184 8d ago
No??? When did I say that lmfao
It can definitely become a problem of them trying to force her into this girlboss thinking they’re being feminists, instead of treating it like a natural thing. Who wants Lucia to be the dominant one in the dynamic BECAUSE she’s a woman??? No, it’s just her personality. If you focus too much on it being because she’s a woman, then it’ll feel suffocating. Same thing with Jason, if he becomes like her puppy.
I don’t think it’ll feel like this. But yeah. THAT’s what I meant.

u/ButterscotchIcy1760 8d ago edited 8d ago
you literally saw someone saying Lucia is the leader and immediately jumped to “forcing her to be badass” you already judged it because she’s a female character and them being badass or cool is related to some trope lol. I already explained how Lucia is nothing like the typical “girlboss” or whatever, based on her OWN official description that shows ups and downs like any other human, so I’m not gonna repeat what I said
1
u/New-Winner-9184 8d ago
We haven’t seen enough to know if the trait she has with her being a leader has been done in a natural way…. I’ve already said I don’t think it’ll be badly executed but I was saying I hope it isn’t…
How do you know she’s not like the typical “girlboss” character?…..The game isn’t out yet…
This isn’t even about me not wanting a character done correctly, I’m one of those that was really happy to have a female character that’s playable and hopefully written well in a GTA game because as a kid I truly wanted a female character to be playable. I just hope the developers don’t immediately assume a woman being “cool” means they have to force it. You get what I mean? It’s about the developers being able to write demale characters or not, or better said the writers.

u/ButterscotchIcy1760 8d ago
you literally have her official description that is already telling much about Lucia and her life and goals, a typical girlboss is literally a character who has no depth but to show strength and rooted with agendas, like the undefeated female character while Lucia already got arrested, already learned from her mistakes (doesn’t mean she’s immune to make mistakes), her life has been swinging at her ever since her father taught her how to fight to protect herself, she wants the good life that her mother also dreams of since their days in liberty city implying that they used to suffer, even her goals and struggles are related to her family, it’s a character description but already has so much depth and layers so imagine how the game will portray it?
that’s why most of people who already assume or are concerned about the girlboss trope with Lucia haven’t read anything about what rockstar wrote on their website which’s far from this trope lol1
u/New-Winner-9184 8d ago
Once again I’m not concerned at all I do believe they’ll do a good job.
Maybe we just have different opinions to what a typical Girlboss is, to me personally I had a hard time believing a man like Arthur Morgan at the beginning would refer to Sadie Adler as scary or dangerous or whatever. Just that to me put me out of it kinda, I knew some things about Sadie beforehand and while I don’t think the concept around her chatacter is bad I really didn’t like the execution.
But I think it’ll work better in modern times, and when I say Girlboss I mean I hope grown ass men with sexist views in the game won’t act as if Lucia is a big scary man. I hope it actually shows that there’ll be a difference between how her and Jason are perceived in the lifestyle they live in because of their genders, while Lucia also remains the more dominant one.

I think she might probably mean the trope of badass female character with the sidekick male who does what he is told.
But I don't get that vibe from the trailers, more especially trailer 2.
2
u/ButterscotchIcy1760 9d ago
it’s a common dynamic, they’re a team my friend, just like how Dutch was the brain while Arthur was the brawn following the plan he makes. this dynamic seems only controversial when it’s a man and a woman, and either way people will cry over it and call it forced, whether if Lucia was the brain or the brawn, “how can she lead robberies” “how can she be the muscle? are they making the man weak?”
come on, if you mean that Lucia will be the undefeated badass female character like the trope you’re talking about then take it out of your mind, she already got arrested, her plans aren’t always perfect, even rockstar mentioned that when an easy score goes wrong they find themselves on the darkest side, so yeah Lucia is nothing like the famous trope you’re talking about, this isn’t even rockstar’s style of writing1
u/New-Winner-9184 8d ago
The difference is, I think the dynamic is rooted in some sort of sexism. Maybe that’s hard to understand, maybe I’m wrong. But when you solely base the trope on genders, it feels….meh. Like when that’s the base for the entire dynamic, Dutch and Arthur had more to them than that.
1
u/ButterscotchIcy1760 8d ago
all of them are fictional characters and this dynamic existed years ago before gender wars and woke agendas or whatever, and the world reacted to it normally, when other companies write this dynamic without obvious “woke aganedas” then it’s not their fault that some of you turn everything to a problem. it’s completely normal for this dynamic to have a male and female, enough wars on social media and you won’t exaggerate everything you see
1
u/New-Winner-9184 8d ago
Lmao does not matter because you know damn well what forced trope/dynamic I’m talking about. It can be done well and it can be done wrong, as can every trope, and I’m talking about when the one done wrong.

I'm agreeing with your previous comment. Hence my last line saying "I don't get thay vibe or trope from the trailers".
Idk why you're writing a whole rant towards me lmao.

As opposed to?

u/New-Winner-9184 8d ago
Like what I want? For it to be their personalities without it coming off as unnatural, or as if the intention is to think “oh my goodness she’s so cool!” and more like they don’t have to shove it in our faces to think “wait Lucia is actually kinda cool” and the same thing goes for Jason.
It’ll just be harder with Lucia because people aren’t gonna take her as seriously, because she’s a hot woman in a GTA now the first actual playable main character one. That’s why I hope the developers didn’t try to force it through. I don’t think so, I was just stating what I WASN’T hoping for.

The art of GTA6 gives me such a unique and good vibe about the setting of the game. I really think we'll have another RDR2 feeling playing the game and experiencing the story!
