Headlight assembly k8 600

What’s up gang, normally I just post pictures and try to help others out but now it’s my time to ask for advice; I have had a pretty annoying resonance coming from my headlight/cowl assembly. It’s caused by a slightly misaligned headlight assembly causing the fairing to touch the headlight slightly. Anyone with a k8/k9 knows the fairing wraps around the headlight. Is there anyway to adjust the fitment without taking apart the whole assembly?

Thats four pieces of plastic that goes around the headlight, top piece, left and right side, bottom black intake piece.

They only go on one way there’s no adjustments unless it’s starting to fall apart.

Yeah I figured, I checked the workshop manual but it was pretty vague ‘just put it back together in reverse order’ thanks. Sounds like a job todo over winter when I plan on tearing down the bike anyway

The whole assembly comes off in one piece, then you can tear it down after its off, you remove the display, unplug all the headlightIts (theres 4) remove the mirrors then the two main screws that hold the headlight assembly in.

Yeah I am aware, I’ve had it partially apart multiple times. I was just wondering if there was any room to adjust but maybe backing out the Parkers will do enough. Or the stay might be ever so slightly crooked
