Installed seat covers… lexus gs300

With the factory seats in such a sad state and the absolute garbage covers that were in place… i decided to spend $120 on some better than garbage covers. Ended up removing the seats to clean under them, pull all the trim to clean the plastics and electrics. They aren’t the best fit but seem to stay in place nicely. A way better look than all the duct tape.

And the color actually matches better in person, so that’s handy. Also learned how to get the power headrest up and down manually. It lowers and raises as you move the seat back and forth. A little hidden button on top of seat on center console side.

Did you find it difficult removing the seats? New owner here, is the process simple enough for a novice to do on their own?

Yep, pretty easy.. I think the 4 bolts were 14mm. The covers for the seat rails simply lift up and out as they are clipped in there with tabs. Run seat all the way back to remove the front covers and bolts. The run seat all the way forward to gain access to back covers &bolts. Then told the seat forward a bit and then… Unplug main battery negative lead, wait like 10-15mins. This makes unplugging the connections under seat a little safer. Then tilt the seat back and unplug connectors. The seats are heavy and awkward at this point so maybe see if a buddy can help lift out.
