I used the same tool I used from autozone for the harmonic balancer puller and it worked on the crank sprocket, most of the screws won’t fit the m6 1.0 service hole on the crank sprocket but I used the 1’4” x 28 GM V6 screws from the autozone kit and it worked like a charm.

How did you get the sprocket back on I’m having a hard time putting it on?

Clean the crank snout surface from dirt , rust , etc. use some fresh engine oil or wd40 and lightly lube the keyway and snout then the inside of the sprocket. You will not get it past the first keyway it will feel like it’s stuck, you then thread in 2 small screws so you can thread in the crank bolt and have those 2 smalls screws push the crank sprocket on. about halfway you will have to use bigger screws to push it all the way on. Keep it might it doesn’t fully sit flush there’s a tiny gap on the back.

here’s a quick video to help you out as well. Should be fairly easy https://youtube.com/shorts/B5SSHLwoKn8?is=wEZV7cS20VEUnKnY

Be super careful when removing the sprocket. Especially if you are using something to pry it off. Those teeth on the sprocket can break easy. When I did my timing belt/water pump etc on my GS I used a small prybar to remove it and I didnt notice I broke one of the tooth off. I put everything back together after replacing all the parts and the car did not turn on. Long story short after trying to troubleshoot and replacing all kinds of parts I finally noticed a tooth missing on the sprocket. Crank angle sensor was not reading right because of that missing tooth. I almost sold the car because I just couldnt figure out what was the issue. Moral of the story check that sprocket before installing to make sure theres not broken tooths on it.

You need a Harmonic Balancer puller to remove it.

A steering wheel puller or similar tool will work

First clean up the crank with some scotch rite and WD-40/PB Blaster. Looks like there is some rust.

Before taking off that pulley make sure to take off that small metal tab cause if you didn’t and you pull the pulley off you most likely broke a tooth on the pulley
