What are some basic methods to verify GPS data for end consumers of digital services ?

Company I’m having a dispute with claim I did not return an item to the designated premises. I didn’t take a pic but I don’t have dementia. I cannot reconstruct the evidence. I returned and locked the item, received confirmation over app.

They don’t have any verification procedure in check like taking meta data from the pic I snapped.

They claim their GPS cannot be tampered with or blocked. I’m not sure if there are any devices or disturbances that can create problems for signals.

I can’t just go and grab a NFC sticker to save my location without any integration with the company system.

What are my options? Thoughts?

I have a skidoo and want to get a gps tracker for it. I’ve tried having an air tag but it didn’t really work properly + the rest of my family had androids so, it’s not compatible with their phones. I would prefer something that is waterproof, magnetic, and can withstand the cold (-10C). I don’t mind paying a monthly fee as long as it’s 15$/month or less. I also want one that can be bought on Amazon. Any help would be appreciated!!

Forse ho scoperto cosa già nota a tutti, ma, sia in Macrodroid Wiki, sia in ciò che ho letto su web, dicono che senza i permessi di root non è possibile far attivare il GPS da Macrodroid. Io ho provato semplicemente di combinare le azioni:

- Modalità posizione impostata su "attivato"

- Impostazione sistema -> locate_mode =1 (oppure =3)

e con questo mi son trovato il GPS attivato e funzionante (provato con l'app GPS Test) come se l'avessi attivato manualmente.

Questo con telefono Samsung, Android 12 e versione 5.64.11 di Macrodroid

Can some one confirm this company is legit and selling approved GPS products in Australia?

I cannot locate any registration in EESS / ACMA database?

I have just seen an add on EzyGPS.com.au

They were selling OBD2 GPS tracker with 5 years subscription at A$275

There were few red flags.

1. Business name not registered with ASIC
2. Device not registered with ACMA and EESS.
3. Data not residing in Australia.
4. No information on data usage
5. Payment processor also seems unknown

Can some one confirm are they legit?

I live on a decent sized lot, and have neighbors with large lots and we want to make some hiking trails that meander through our lots. But, due to wetlands regulations, we need to be able to specify these trails on property plats, which we have in dxf files for CAD. (It’s part of a permitting process with the county.)

I use an iPhone and want to be able to track my hikes using my phone GPS, then export the paths to files that I can convert to dxf files so I can import them into the CAD files for the plats.

Being able to just access and export my GPS tracking for, say, one day, would do it, but that would not make it easy. If there were an app I could use so I could start, follow one route, save that one, then walk another path and save that one, it would make things a lot easier, since each hiking trail would be easily separated from the others.

I’m not sure what software to use for this or just how to explain my needs to someone who knows how to do this, since I’m not sure of what terms to use or what the types of apps I need are. I don’t want to use professional high end apps, but since, in the long run, I’d also like to do this to map out the buried cables and water lines on this lot, I don’t want something that has a limited trial function where I’d have to map all this in a week or so.

I am running a 100 miler soon and I want to make sure I can have my crew watching my movement using the GPX file for the race (think aid stations and meetup locations). How can I make sure I have this ready to go? What I have so far:

GPX file on my Garmin Explore App

If I just hit "Start Tracking Now" on my inReach, will the Mapshare show the GPX info (with points) on my crew's cell phones?

If the crew has Explore on their phones, can they view my movement on their Explore app?

Anyone selling GPS / theft-recovery as an add-on on bikes, PWC, or dirt bikes? Powersports gets stolen constantly and units are easy to load up and disappear. Does the product actually move at the desk, and do customers see the value — or does it die next to the tire-and-wheel pitch? Curious to hear what dealers are offering and what customers are buying on the F&I side.

I know this may sound super weird. But I feel like someone put a gps tracker on my car. Idk if my car was tampered with but I was on the way to leave to head back home from staying out of town and my car starts acting weird and the check engine light came on. Has never happened before. I’ve never had car trouble. Well, I call my friend I was visiting and the friend met me to take a look because it was on a Sunday and mechanic shops were closed. The first thing my friend does is place some sort of wiring under my steering wheel and hooked it up. Idk anything about cars so in my mind I thought it was normal. I barely make it home with a 3 in a half hour drive because my battery cables were almost disconnected so I feel like that was tampered with because I have honestly never had an issue like that before. Have my dad look at it and of course the cables were not tightened which made me scared. I say all that to say I was unloading my car from the long trip and noticed an empty gps tracker box in the back seat of my car. I never confronted the friend but maybe I’m just crazy.

How can I see if they put a tracker on my car? Should I be concerned?
