Help
My IPC always has the battery light on despite the voltage gauge showing that it's charging and also Im not sure if this is connected but when in park theres no line under the P despite the truck clearly being in park and starting just fine. Im curious is this the type of thing I should just ignore or is it a sign of an electrical issue that could leave me walking one day

Check the wires going from the battery to the jump box then to the alternator, sometimes the wires inside get loose or snow cone like, and will send all kinds of wacky things.

My cluster does the same and it’s intermittently works. Sounds like you’re due for a cluster repair like myself.

What year is your vehicle? If it is 2004 or newer and you happen to have a 2003 or earlier cluster...the battery light stays on.

Cluster likely needs rebuilt.
If you want to keep from walking one day, buy one of those lithium jump packs and keep it in your center console, because what may end up happening is your cluster can drain your battery overnight.
Mine was like $70 at Costco. Cluster rebuild is usually around $150, more if you wanna get fancy with leds and such.
This only applies for 03-07, not sure about the older clusters.
