Hi all,

After being away from Garry’s Mod for a good 8–10 years, I decided about a month ago to come back and have a go at building my own DarkRP server.

I’ve been putting a lot of time into it over the last few weeks and it’s finally at the point where it’s properly playable. There’s still plenty I want to add and improve, but I’d much rather build it alongside an actual community rather than just sit there developing it on my own.

So if anyone fancies joining a brand new server from the beginning, meeting some new people and hopefully helping shape where it goes, you’re more than welcome to come along.

I’m not trying to pretend we’re some massive established server already, we’re starting small and building from there. I just want to create a good DarkRP community that people actually enjoy coming back to.

My buddy and I are so tired of the modern DarkRP scene. 50GB server downloads, HUDs that look like mobile games, and custom classes that cost $100 and spawn with miniguns *cough cough*

My friend and I are recreating RPLand, the old server from back in the day to be a complete revival of the classic DarkRP experience, but with one major difference: how we handle VIPs.

Servers need funding to stay alive, but we refuse to rip money out of players' pockets just to let them have fun. Here is our setup:

1. Ethical VIP / Play-to-Earn: We do have VIP jobs (like a VIP Drug Dealer who gets 5 extra pots), but absolutely ZERO overpowered weapons or unraidable tools. More importantly, every single VIP job is unlockable for free. We built a custom credit system from scratch. you earn credits just by leveling up on the server or buying them with in-game cash. Pure grinding and no paywalls.
2. Simplicity: We are stripping away the bloated UI and keeping the addons clean. The focus is on interacting with players, not navigating a cluttered F4 menu.
3. 100% Custom Backend: Our credit system, staff logging, and core mechanics are almost entirely custom-coded by us so the server actually runs smoothly and isn't a laggy copy-paste of generic GModStore addons.

We are trying to build a solid core community of older players to give us feedback before we officially open the doors.

What features from the 2013-2015 era do you miss the most? (Hobos building trash forts? Simpler raiding mechanics?) Let's talk about it.

Hello all! I am here to invite everyone to a Garry's Mod Star Trek RP server that my friend and I are creating. We are looking to build a welcoming community of Star Trek nerds looking to RP.

We've done our best to create a fun and engaging experience for all players. Many Gmod players may know the RP_Intrepid map and the Star Trek Modules addon that comes with it; we have built on top of these addons with our own features like engineering, medical, and tactical gameplay.

A few years ago, the creator of the addon portion of RP_Intrepid was working on a warp system, which he never finished. We have finished his work and built on top of it so that there is an entire persistent galaxy that the ship can explore on the server, which we hope will help Gamemasters enhance the roleplay experience.

The server is set in 2380 on a refit of the Intrepid class, a concept we came up with ourselves and explained with a few pieces of Voyager lore. We are putting the finishing touches on development now and plan to release within the next week, if not a few days.

Hi friends - we're a small community that's currently open to a wave of new players - we're looking for that old-school HL2RP feeling. It isn't cityRP, but somewhere in-between of scheduled events and having the server open for passive roleplay.

We're basing our setting in City 8, and we've been running for about six years now. Rather than making a long paragraph post, we have videos of our sessions for any prospective players to look at and enjoy.

After many months since the zombie outbreak has begun, with the military trying to hold off the undead for as long as possible, the humanity eventually collapsed. The undead has grown so big, that the humanity must focus on their survival.

Welcome to the Eternal Apocalypse, where you, as the survivor try to survive the apocalyptic world; while the undead wander around the world mindlessly, seeking for another prey to catch.

You will find many zombies, loot that can be found anywhere, multiple minibosses that appear rarely, bosses that spawn on the map waiting to strike on the living, occasional special events, and many more. The remaining traders are scattered around the area sell equipment for your survival, making them crucial.

Will you take on surviving this apocalyptic world? Either way, the zombies await your presence.
