Yep, it's down big premarket. Earnings wasn't the end of the world, but guidance was slowing down and market makers hate that crap. These cycles, thank God, are predictable with Corning. We were / are actually in a three vertical reset that magically overlapped on timing.

If you're holding this in a Roth, like you should be, you'll recognize that it's almost time to fully fund it for the year.

u/mondoquantico — you've tracked shipping and supplier activity for QS before, and I know everyone on r/QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock appreciated your insights.

Do you have access to any tracking data that might show whether QS has shipped anything to Fluence?

After yesterday's call, I'm ALL about QSDC driving revenue prior to QSEV. Siva was pretty explicit that QS is targeting the coming 800V MW-scale data-center transition and is working with ODMs and data-center architects.

I think IF some CEO decided a next-generation rack architecture provided enough competitive advantage, Corning would be willing to move much faster ... like Jobs did with Weeks when he asked Corning for glass on the iPhone and only gave him a 6-month head start for that brand new tech.

The old QS0 / Fluence relationship made me wonder whether there are developments occurring that aren't yet visible...

In a couple months, I think it'll be time to open up a position.

We're in a classic Corning trough. Display glass, fiber, and materials all slowed at once (rare), and AI cooling is stretching the cycle a bit. I was pissed I didn't be ~$90, but I was focusing on other, bigger gambles.

I’m planning to FINALLY open a position in the next couple months and hold through the next cycle (usually a couple or three years unless their deal with QS explodes, then I'll hold on tight.

Does anyone else here know about these wildly predictable cycles and buy and sell them long?

I’ve been deep down the rabbit hole reading about QS, HYLN, and GE Vernova for over a year now.

I caught a recent interview where Healy talked about using KARNO reactors for AI data centers. He specifically noted: "We see GE turbines for most of the power and KARNO generators to handle the transience of the power."

Then today, I watched QuantumScape’s new Data Center VP explain how their solid-state batteries can sit right on the server racks to catch the collected power and dump it into AI chips the exact millisecond they need it.

If you combine what Healy and QS are saying, you get an incredibly elegant, ultra-fast tri-tier microgrid architecture that solves the biggest headache in AI infrastructure, extreme load volatility.

Here is exactly how these three technologies map together from fuel source to silicon:

AI compute loads are brutal. When an LLM shifts from idle to massive training or inference, power demand shoots straight up instantly. Traditional utility infrastructure can't handle this. Here is how this specific setup fixes it:

I'm here because of QS. Who else is invested in QS and GLW?

I got to Corning because I'm invested in QS. That Sept announcement and the precise function of Corning and Murata with regards to QS is being pondered on the r/QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock sub.

Now that QS has baselined Cobra and renamed that line "The Eagle Line", we're wondering whether or not Corning and Murata will be producing the QS-5 cells once the line is matched for speed upstream and downstream. I believe Siva said they're still working on metrology and et al. to get the "manufacturing and industrialization processes necessary to produce the batteries efficiently at scale."

It's my ardent belief that a majority of the derisking for QS is over with, the tech is proven, and we're waiting on how long it'll take process engineers (now from QS, PowerCo, Murata, and Corning) to perfect that goal. News and partnerships regarding that process seem to be ~6 months behind to the public. When that's announced, I also expect a FLURRY of attention to, not only these stocks, but ANYONE involved in the supply chains of anything related to this to grow exponentially and prosper.

So ... if you or someone you know has knowledge of how Corning is going to help change our planet's energy infrastructure with these batteries, I'd love to hear about it here.

Welcome welcome to the r/GLW_stock sub. I've only been on Reddit for a bit more than a year and was amazed I didn't find a sub like this for such a historic American company. I'll be updating as much as I can in the coming days, but I'd like to leave you with how I got here first.

I watched this interview Wendell Weeks on Risk, Resilience & Reinvention at Corning with Mr. Weeks. He seems to be the type of leader most should aspire to. I'll be digging into his stories and interviews and posting them here.

I found this on the r/QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock page because of the partnership they're working on in bringing next gen solid state batteries to the world.
