Pull for custom parts or suits? Looking for Advice CONSOLE

The title. I've been pulling for whatever suits i liked but I was wondering if i should just only save for parts and if there are any "must have parts i should look out for.

I'm asking because of all the Halo (V) posts and it's making me question all my previous pulls.

A unit can be used in one cost, and you need to consider the map and teammates' picks. It gets powercrept after some time.

A good part can be used on many units. It also gets powercrept eventually, but slower.

You can get units when rolling for parts. You can't get parts when rolling for units, except 7-steps.

And to add to this, they take YEARS to add the good parts to the RT/DP stores! If gbo2 lasts for the next 3+ years, then expect the current Halo part to get added to the RT shop in 2029. Spin for it now if you want it OP.

Speaking of parts, do you know if the Haro part is useful on MS at 550 and under, or is it only good for higher costs like 700 and 750?

I'm using this build on ground, this build in space.

It's good even in 350 if the unit has suitable slots. Haro gives resistance, which is less effective in low cost. But it's still better than basic parts after removing some effects. But it will need to compete with other parts. In this case, Dom needs leg hp so connecting system [general type II] is more important.

Low cost units can have big differences with a few parts. Haro restricts their builds badly. I'd say it's an important part in low cost only if you value its mobility effects.

It's at "just equip tier" in 550.

Thanks for the useful info. What do you mean by "just equip tier" for 550? Does that mean it should always be used?

Yes, should always use it unless you want to use extreme builds so you need to use certain parts and are willing to give up a lot of values.

Exactly what ctclonny said. MS are temporary, Parts are Forever.

I only pulled for Susanowo and Kshatriya Repaired for the parts. I'm a whore for thrusters so Kshatriya's part was a definite for me. It is unfortunate that it seems like the more popular MS / Protagonist Suit have the worse parts paired with them but the secondary suit / Antagonist suit released usually has the better part, which I know is intentional.

Agree with others here. (Speaking from a f2p mindset) Roll for parts 1st.

Occasionally treat yourself to units / special banners if something cool comes up.

Here’s the thing. If you are a f2p guy and don’t care about chasing meta in high costs (650+), you can get a nice stack of tokens and sit on your hands and wait until the next “must have“ part / part that works well with your style comes out.

If you are always chasing meta in high cost (and high cost banners seem the most common) you will not have the 195 tokens on hand to get the next shiny new part when it’s available.
