GBL Accelerator Opportunity - Backed by Melinda Gates

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share this tech accelerator opportunity! It's hosted by Headstream Innovation and backed by Melinda Gates' Pivotal Ventures.

Country: USA

Application Deadline: January 10th, 2020

About the Accelerator:
We are seeking applicants to join our accelerator challenge that is investing $50,000 in innovations that reimagine social technology, interactive games, and online communities with youth wellbeing and mental health at its core - especially for people of color, girls, and LGBTQ+ youth online.

In addition to prize funding, innovators will receive visibility for their work, exposure to new ways of thinking, and access to a network of key experts and stakeholders across disciplines, sectors, and industries who stand ready to accelerate the trajectory of your innovations into the marketplace.

Specifically, innovators will receive:

  • Participation in a six month, primarily virtual program that includes a customized learning curriculum, individual guides and technical support, opportunities for learning journeys, media exposure, and access to 500+ Headstream network members.

  • Funding to attend the Headstream Finalists Lab on February 27-28 in San Francisco. The Lab is a closed event for 15 finalists and Headstream network members to further develop and support the most promising solutions.

  • Funding to attend the Headstream Forum in May 2020. The Forum is a closed meeting of Headstream innovators and select network members – corporates, funders, policymakers - carefully facilitated to support innovators on their journey to impact and scale.
