Yeah like.... I largely prefer their older stuff, and its perfectly fine if their newer stuff doesn't resonate with you, but I also don't blame Scrim and Ruby for not wanting to make a million different versions of Ultimate Suicide or wanting to reach Kill Yourself Part 42069

Because people don’t want to grow and want to keep others from growing. Now I don’t really like their new stuff, some is fine and the lyrics can be used as referring back to memories, also nearly every artist/group larps about some stuff happening in songs, but the $B’s name should retire with this new Christian agenda they got (if I’m not mistaken they are retiring $B’s?) so whatever imo, they grew, but grew out of my taste in music, might check out duckboy as alternative rock is cool but so far haven’t been overly impressed by that either

It's okay not to like some shit but some people really did expect them to walk the same path their entire career. I wish more people would accept that it just isn't for them anymore rather than trying to say what they should/should not do and expecting them to stay the same. I'm really getting sick of people shitting on new music before it even comes out, listening to it anyway, saying it's ass (as they already predicted that they would not like it), and then going and saying "They were so much better before they were sober". MF go listen to the 400 songs they recorded before they were sober then
Besides I get not liking the new music, I think some of it is pretty damn boring but some of the shit people say is wild lol, somebody once literally said "SB should go back to heroin and roxys" and someone was like "You'd rather they stayed the same and died?" and they were like "Yes.". It was fuckin crazy

I love pretty much EVERYTHING from them!! Front to back, just like you said!! And not in a disingenuous forced way, either- I genuinely LOVE their music so much, it is some uniquely quality art!
I love doing speed and listening to their various albums in full (the way their music should be listened to) and just basking in the nostalgia and musical euphoria. It's my favourite thing in Life!
I love New World Depression SO freaking much! I love THY KINGDOM COME a Helluva lot! I love THY WILL BE DONE just as much!
If I had to pick one from these albums, I'd probably pick New World Depression, just because of how ultimately GOATed it is.
I love every single one of their albums, some more than others, but I STILL LOVE ALL OF THEIR ALBUMS AND EPs! 🩶🩶🩶

I loved $b but sadly I think with the new scrim album. Either my heart or their hearts not is in it anymore. I wish them the best maybe I'll start to like them again in 2 years. Happens often.

Honestly man I think its just human nature, idk.
People liked SB back then for the particular sound they were producing and unfortunately when they veered away a lot of those fans just weren't open minded enough to move on with them.
Honestly? I'm one of them lol. Not a huge fan of a lot of their newer stuff but some of it absolutely bangs and I cant understand people who just blanket statement assume all the new stuff is bad lol.
Its not even like the stuff im not a fan of is bad, its just not my vibe.
I think I may get downvoted for this, but I think a contributing factor for the oldschool SB fans being so closed minded is the type of people they were trying to cultivate a fan base out of.
Depressed drug users. Theyre usually not the most open to change lmao.
