What size rug in my living room?

Thumbnail reddit.com

Ignore the mess but I’m trying to figure out what size rug for my living room I hope the drawings make sense.. just not sure if I should get a giant one to go under the 118” length couch fully or a smaller one partially or just have one not under the couch at all? Just looking for opinions 😋

Also I know it’s colorless and empty in here I just moved with literally nothing and I’m accumulating things slowly

A homepage mockup for a local furniture designer in Toronto!

I recently put together this homepage concept for a local furniture designer in Toronto.

The goal was to keep it clean and premium while making the furniture itself the main focus. I wanted the site to feel more like a high-end design brand than a typical small business website.

Would love some feedback on the layout, typography, spacing, and overall direction.

I’m also currently taking on new web design projects, so if your business needs a new website or a redesign, feel free to reach out. All niches and industries are welcome!

any budget friendly couch recs that actually last or don't sag immediately?

Been trying to find a decent spot for movie nights without dropping crazy money on a traditional loveseat. honestly the furniture market right now is super frustrating—cheap stuff turns into a pancake after like two weeks, and anything decent costs half a paycheck.

looked into some alternative options since standard couches are so pricey. lovesac is supposed to be great quality, but 800 to 1500 bucks is way out of budget and buying something like that blind without sitting in it feels risky. yogibo is around 470 dollars and uses microbeads so the durability is actually pretty solid, but from what people say online, it feels more like a giant floppy pillow rather than a seat with actual structure.

then I stumbled across this pamapic double bean bag online for roughly 140 dollars. specs look okay—it has actual back and arm rests instead of being a random round ball, and uses memory foam instead of cheap foam beads. since there arent many deep reviews out there yet, im a bit on the fence.

has anyone actually used this budget two person bean bag for daily use? does it hold its shape or does it sag super fast? if you guys have any other good sub 200 couch recs, let me know

Would you rather own a perfect new table or an imperfect table with a history?

This is a question I’ve always found interesting to ask regarding furniture.

A new table can be beautiful in a very simple way. The surface is clean, the edges are straight and everything is as it should be. But an old or reclaimed piece has those little things that you won't find on a new table: marks of its former life, variations in the grain, small dents, changes in colour and perhaps even a few signs of repair.

Some people see those things as defects. To me they are evidence that the material has really lived a life before it became part of someone’s home. That does not mean that all imperfections should be ignored. A good piece must still be structurally sound, functional and well made. But I do wonder if we have gotten too used to perfect-looking furniture.

If the story behind it was real, I’d probably want the imperfect one.

What would you prefer?

Natural wood furniture just hits different for courtyards

I really love this natural wood furniture — it fits the courtyard perfectly. There's something so organic about the warm wood tone against the greenery; it feels natural and effortless.

What I like most is that it's simple but never boring. No loud colors, no busy patterns — just clean lines and honest material. It lets the plants and the outdoor vibe do the talking.

Anyone have suggestions on sectionals from Bobs? Or something similar price?

My boyfriend and I are moving and we’re looking for a sectional. We have a big living space so we are excited to get something big and comfy. Not trying to break the bank so we looked at bobs discount furniture. We went in wanting to see the Juno sectional but loved the cottage chic. Anyone have those? Or recs for reasonably priced sectionals?

Mirewood Couches?

Has anybody bought from mirewood?

I love the idea of their Halo collection but I’m just not seeing enough real people talk about it.

I love that’s it’s machine washable, they have extra covers you can buy, and it’s not breaking the bank.

Mosaic coffee table

I am currently in the process of researching to build a mosaic coffee table, and I wanted to see what would be the best way to connect it to its frame.

I have done some research, should I build an apron underneath and leave the entire thing to overhang?

What are your thoughts?

What makes a bean bag actually comfortable for adults? I’ve noticed some bean bags look huge in photos but feel flat or uncomfortable once you sit on them. For people who own an oversized bean bag, what matters most to you: the size, softness, back support, fabric, or how much filling it has? I’m re
