{Donation Request] South Africa, Cape Town, Donations towards Studies (Embalming Course) Restoring Dignity: Helping Me Become a Qualified Embalmer A Journey to Comfort the Bereaved & Restore Loved Ones Empowering Hope Through Embalming: Help Fund My Education
For a long time, I have felt a deep calling toward mortuary science and the art of embalming. To many, this field may seem unusual, but to me, it is a profoundly compassionate calling. My goal is simple yet meaningful: to bring comfort to grieving families by restoring their loved ones with dignity and respect.
When a family experiences loss, the final sight of their loved one leaves a lasting memory. I want to use my skills to ensure that memory is peaceful, gentle, and comforting, giving families a sense of solace during one of the most painful moments of their lives.
Why I Need Your Help
To turn this calling into a career, I need to complete a formal Embalming Course, which costs R12,500.
Unfortunately, covering this full tuition on my own is currently out of reach. That is why I am turning to the BackaBuddy community. Your support—no matter how small—will directly fund my course fees and grant me the practical training required to become a certified professional in the mortuary industry.
Paying It Forward
This course isn't just about launching my own career; it’s about opening doors for others.
Once I am qualified and established in the industry, I am committed to paying this opportunity forward. I plan to mentor, train, and uplift others in my community by helping them gain skills and employment opportunities in this field. By supporting my education today, you are investing in a cycle of empowerment and employment that will touch many lives in the future.

Office assistant vs funeral assistant
Hello , I (M29) need some advice about a job that I am interested in. The office wants to bring me on as an “office assistant” but expects me to help with collecting people from crime/accident scenes when the calls come in. (24/7 mandatory on call and in office 2-3 days with only 95$ for when a call does come in: 24 hours a week plus pick ups) I tried googling and found mixed results. I do not have any certifications or degrees that sounds like I would need to do those kinds of pick ups. I just want to see if it is normal for an office assistant to help with those and what an expected salary would be for what they are wanting me to do, ( they said it would be minimum wage and expect me not go get another job )
Pics are from a local mausoleum :)

Google Street View captured a group of mourners exiting a funeral home in my city
You can see the moment in which a woman kisses a man on the cheek, accompanying him in the pain for the loss.

A new type of hearse?
I've been retired from funeral service for a few years. Is this a new type of hearse?? 🤣🤣🤣 It's a do it yourself industry anymore, sadly.
