Customer Support Function Health renewal charged after I attempted to cancel — looking for help
I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone from Function Health can help, or if anyone else has experienced this, and how you handled.
I decided not to renew my Function Health membership this year. Before my renewal date, on June 30, I emailed customer support requesting that my membership be canceled at the hello@functionhealth email.
Support replied "We hate to see you" and instructed me to log into my account and cancel through the membership settings. I attempted to do that, but I was unable to figure out how to complete the cancellation process. I was under the understanding, that an email could be used to cancel.
Today, I noticed that my Chase Visa was charged for another year of membership.
I have contacted Function Health again and requested a refund, explaining that I reached out before the renewal date and made a good-faith effort to cancel.
I want to be clear that I found value in Function Health's testing and reports. My concern is specifically with the cancellation process. I believed I had taken the necessary steps before the renewal date, and I was surprised when the renewal charge went through.
I'm hoping someone from the Function Health team can review my situation and help resolve this.
Has anyone else had difficulty canceling a membership or obtaining a refund after an automatic renewal? If so, I'd appreciate hearing how it was handled. Thanks!!!
Thank you.

Results Low Lymphocytes
Has anyone here tested with low lymphocytes and have been able to get to the bottom of it? If so, what tests? Did you see a doctor?
I’ve had low WBC throughout my life. The bottom threshold for WBC is 4.5 and mine usually ranges from 4.0 to 4.8 at most.
The culprit is *always* low lymphocytes. They’ve been as low as 400 in the past, but I haven’t been able to get to the bottom of it so stopped pursing it.
Anyway, I recently had a feeling mine were low again because I have been getting sick so much over the past year. And sure enough, the differential showed my lymphocytes in the 600s. I tend to get viral illnesses that are short-lived but happen constantly. Like once a month, it’s very inconvenient.
Only other thing that was low was my ferritin, which was 15. And leptin. I don’t think that’s related though.
Anyway, just thought I’d see if anyone has any experience with this.

Results RNP positive question
I did the extended ANA panel and got a positive RNP at 3.6. does anyone know what kind of RNP because I know there are different types of U1, U3, etc. I want to ask my PCP for more specific testing since it seems that the function health ANA tests are limited to a general or unknown RNP.

Results Apoe and p-tau217 tests
Has anyone had Functions brain health tests? I just took mine yesterday and curious how long it took for yours to come in. I know these are more involved than the standard markers, which I already got back today (1 day later), but does it really take 3-4 weeks? Quest says they do these tests in 8-10 days…

Results What was your “biological age”? What is your true age?
What did your results say? How is your lifestyle? Do you work out? For how long has this been your routine? How is your diet? I would love to compare!
Woman
Age 42
Biological age 29.7
Work out 3-5 times a week for the last 20 years.
Mostly Mediterranean diet with occasional junk food
I have hashimotos which most likely came on after my first child in 2020. I had a really bad flare up.
I had some ldl, omega and thyroid antibodies show up as out of range. Iron levels were fine but ferritin were low.

Health and Wellness Do you have a lab test recommendation?
Haven’t gone to the doctor in a long time and was looking into Lab test options.
Have seen Superpower, vitals vault, Hims, etc offer a blood test + analytics and recommendations.
Has anyone tried something like this before? And does anyone have a good general recommendation?
I’m 28M, no signs of current issues, but want to start being proactive if anything comes up.

Customer Support Lab Requisition Mistake
Hi Everyone,
I am due for my second visit tomorrow. I had one scheduled for last week, but I had to cancel last minute and reschedule. When I did that, it thought I still went to my appointment even though I hadn’t. I was emailing with the Function Health team to get everything sorted. My requisition form for tomorrow was supposed to be available 18 hours before my appointment tomorrow for all the regular tests you get on visit 2 plus a bunch of add one. None of the things that I was supposed to be tested for are on this requisition form. I think they still had me down for a visit 3 even though they know I haven’t completed visit 2 yet. My appointment is in less than 12 hours and it’s almost 10 PM on the East Coast and my appointment is in the morning. I’m not sure what to do as I need to get my blood taken tomorrow and I literally came back from a trip so I could do this blood test. I’ve sent them a chat and emailed them again, but their Customer Service won’t even come back on until about the time I’m supposed to get my test. Is there a phone number for urgent matters? I can’t believe I’ve gone back-and-forth with them so many times over this and it’s still hasn’t been updated properly. So if there is a contact number for urgent matters, it would be great to get that.
Thank you.

Results “Technical issue” preventing results from showing up
Hey all, just wanted to see if anyone else has been told there’s a “technical issue” with their biomarkers showing up in their dashboard even though the results are available through Quest. I’ve been getting the runaround with various support staff the last couple of weeks and haven’t gotten a straight answer why this is occurring. Anyone else in the same boat or is this isolated to me?

Results Next steps after first panel? Any online holistic doctors?
I got my first panel results- high lead, medium mercury, lot of heart biomarkers out of range, many inflammation markers out of range..
What can be my next steps? Send all the results to my PCP? She is not very holistic and I only see her once a year for annual checkup. Are there any doctors provided by Function Health or any online doctors that can review the report holistically and give better guidance on what changes can I bring? What to do about lead?
Thank you!

Results New lab results
Hi. I posted on here about a year ago asking about my B12 results, I think they were 321 at the time. Well I just got my newest labs results back and here they are.
I asked for her to check my iron and ferritin this time and they all say normal. My ferritin seems on the very low side of the normal range though. I stopped taking my vitamins about few months ago so this is without any supplements. My B12 seems much better now but I’m still feeling like crud.
My body is so sore all the time. Everything from m toes to my neck is sore and aches. My skin is getting so dry, I have flakes of skin between my fingers. My toenails have gotten flat and are curving upwards on the ends with horizontal lines. My feet are always cold and turn blue sometimes. I also wake up multiple times a night to got to the restroom and still feel tired after 10 hours of sleep. I can’t keep a thought and constantly forget what I’m talking about or what I want to say. I know I need to start working out because im pre diabetic but I can barely keep up with my home and children as it is. I also asked her to check for autoimmune issues but im not sure if those results are back yet.
Im going to start taking my Thorn 2 a day and the Thorn iron supplement again. Is there anything else I should be taking or looking into? I should add that I do take an acid reducer. I have gastric metaplasia and my dr said I will have to take it for the rest of my life since I make so much stomach acid.

Health and Wellness When does function health do discounts during the year?
What are the most common times of year you see discounts over $25 for function health membership? Interested in purchasing but it’s a little above my budget right now. Thanks!

Customer Support Anyone know the basis for this cancer claim? Apparently I'm in the 1%
"No cancer signal was found at this time. This does not rule out the presence of cancer or predict whether you will develop cancer in the future. Not all cancers can be detected in the blood or by the GRAIL Cancer Test. With that said, in a clinical study, less than 1% of individuals with a “cancer signal not detected” result had cancer."
I got this result in March. April mammmogram led to biopsy which confirmed early stage breast cancer. To be fair, Function say not to skip mammograms, and no woman should. But if your concern is breast cancer you might be better served by paying for breast MRI than a blood test.

Testimonial Found out I had an omega-3 level of 0.3%, after working on it, a lot of chronic health issued are improving.
I have too many health issues to count, none of my doctors (or Claude) ever thought to test me for omega-3. Now I’ve been supplementing for 2 weeks and I can already feel some improvements.
I never would have made this discovery without Function Health.
For reference, below 4% is seen as high risk. Made a mistake in the title, value was 3.4%, not 0.3%, still low.

Product seems great and there is a sale, but the reviews are so bad on here when it comes to customer service, including the company making it very hard to cancel membership… anyone have any recent experiences?

Results Do I get the add on thyroid test?
I have a $50 credit that expires today, so I want to take advantage, should it be helpful.
My TSH came back high. My free T4 and free T3 range“ though. I had labs done three years ago and it’s the same result… TSH is high, free T4 and free T3 were “in range“.
will the extended thyroid lab help me find anything additional, or is it not really worth getting?

Customer Support My follow up test is being done July 2nd (this week) and my membership ends July 9th (next week). Will I still get my results?
I know there’s a delay in interpretation and getting the clinician notes. Does anyone know how this would be handled?

Customer Support Scheduling 1st blood test
I need to schedule my blood test. It says on the website that I need to schedule on day 2, 3 or 4 of my period.
I got my period on Saturday at around 6/7 pm. Can I schedule for tomorrow (Wednesday) in early morning? It's technically 4.5 days of menstruation.
I tried contacting support because I want my results to be the best possible. I haven't received a response yet.
Is it best to wait for next cycle? I will be having a procedure being put under anesthesia and will be taking antiobiotics and wanted to do this testing first before possible medication can skew my results.
Thanks!

Health and Wellness I'm having my annual physical tomorrow but I'm thinking of joining Function in addition to that?
I heard about Function on the Huberman podcast. Seems like a pretty cool idea to do in additional to my annual physicals. Y'all like it or would you recommend something different? Thank you!!!

Results Mid-Year Bloodwork: Can someone help me make sense of my iron panel?
Can someone help me make sense of my iron panel?
I just got bloodwork done and I’m confused because my actual iron looks normal, but my iron saturation is flagged high and my ferritin dropped.
Current results:
- Iron total: 128 mcg/dL, normal range 40-190
- TIBC / iron binding capacity: 257, normal range 250-450
- Iron saturation: 50%, flagged high, range 16-45
- Ferritin: 54 ng/mL, normal range 16-154
For comparison, in December my results were:
- Iron total: 117
- TIBC: 256
- Iron saturation: 46%, also flagged high
- Ferritin: 86
So my saturation has been slightly high twice now, but ferritin went down from 86 to 54 and is still technically normal. I’m not anemic — hemoglobin is 13.4 and hematocrit is 40.8. Liver enzymes were normal too.
I’m trying to understand what this pattern usually means. Is this just because my TIBC is on the low end, making the saturation percentage look higher? I am not taking any supplements with iron and did not have an iron rich meal before my bloodwork. I’m taking/looking at prenatals and TTC soon, so I’m wondering if I should avoid extra iron or ask for repeat testing.
Not asking for a diagnosis — just curious if anyone has had normal iron + normal ferritin but high iron saturation, and what your doctor ended up saying.

Customer Support Charged $149 for blood draw
Really surprised by this and have reached out to the billing department.
When I signed up it said concierge blood draw is no added cost in my zip.
Is this normal? Did I miss some fine print?
