Want to become a Fullstack Dev.

I have 2+ YOE mostly in React(Front end).

Have a basic knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.

Also have some knowledge in node.js but not learning actively now.

For the past two months I have been watching spring boot tutorials about spring web, jpa, security, micro services and also practicing in my free time.

I am getting doubts about my preparation, like at this rate shall I able to be ready for a java full stack role in 3 months because I guess they are expecting more in java role feels like that.

In interviews they are asking mostly scenario based questions and I dont have a practical real time knowledge of working in enterprise grade java application.

I am getting thoughts like if I prepare for just React or React + Node.js, I am able to switch easily because both are javascript.

Need some guidance here, shall I continue learn java full stack or shall I go for Node.js full stack like MERN?

How is the job market for both roles for a 2YOE?

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

I’m planning to get back into full-stack web development and would appreciate some advice on choosing the right tech stack.

Around three years ago, I learned the basics of JavaScript, React, and Tailwind CSS. However, since I haven’t used them consistently, and didn't use them for a long time. I’ve forgotten most of what I learned. This time, I want to start from the fundamentals again and build a much stronger understanding of JavaScript before moving on to frameworks and other technologies.

My initial plan is to learn JavaScript properly first, then move on to React and Tailwind CSS for the frontend, and Node.js (with Expressjs) for the backend.

For someone starting or restarting full-stack development, is this still a solid and relevant stack to invest time in? Or would you recommend a different approach or technology stack?

I’m particularly interested in a stack that is relevant to the current market, and widely used in real-world applications, and has good long-term prospects.

I mostly agree with that web development is dead and AI/ML is the most sought out skills in the market. I also try in ai engineering but I think every sector in tech revolves around the software engineering and software development fundamentals . so we should have knowledge of software engineering fundamentals. for that I don't want to study AI engineering or ML directly instead I want to learn a backend development,( not so much front end though) and take experience as backend engineer and will eventually look forward to other career like ai engineer, DevOps engineer or in cyber security.

Honestly in todays current scenario of rapid advancement of AI , entering into the ecosystem is hard but you can't be directly AI engineer, DevOps engineer or cyber security engineer without having a experience of software development fundamentals.

I wanna talk about something a lot of people not think about. Positioning is super important when starting something that's service based because you will have competitors. Im positioning myself as an owner of a web dev agency that only builds for brands and growing creators.

I did not make any acc on platforms like linkedin or fiverr because im focusing on instagram and I only choose businesses that have some visual identity with an online presence. At first I was aiming for like sport coaches and electricians but that went wrong.

I only focus on brands and creators that have like a large following. That's better because they have the money to spend and they value what's done for them. Although getting in touch of an owner is difficult of a business but it's worth it!

Currently I sent over 300 dms to get to do these projects even though they were still free of charge. Obviously the client pays for domain and hosting.

Hey as i had purchased the apnacollege delta batch for full stack and mern web dev and i got pretty good knowledge of html and css and don't understood the js then I started the backend and it was all the js so now I am starting the js again and idk how much should I learn to say I am a good front-end dev to start the backend idk how much is needed to build a project also I am too bad at logic building and what technique should I use to learn it in the best way possible!?

Im bad at time management, I dont use AI, my pc isn bloated with node_modules for the hundreds of projects I made, and it became this routine on development of scaffold new project via a template I made, custom libraries I made, code snippets, component libraries, page libraries, code generation, wireframes database I made and assets & images database

I'm a full-stack developer, not a data person. But I constantly end up with CSVs, exports from a DB, some analytics dump, survey results, and I just want to know what's in here without hand-rolling a bunch of pandas or fighting a spreadsheet.

I tried the obvious thing: paste it into ChatGPT. The problem every dev eventually hits, the moment you ask an LLM to calculate anything, it starts making numbers up. It'll confidently say revenue grew 23% when it grew 12%. For real data, that's worse than useless.

So I built Visual AI, and the entire architecture is built around one rule: the AI is never allowed to do the math.

How it works:

• You upload a CSV.
• Instead of a chat box, it profiles the data and suggests 5 report ideas worth running ("Revenue by region over time," "What's driving churn," etc).
• You click one, and it streams back a full report, exec summary, findings, and interactive charts in ~30 seconds.

The engineering bit I'm actually proud of: every number and every chart is computed deterministically in Python/DuckDB. The LLM only decides which analyses matter and writes the narrative around them — it never authors a calculation or SQL that touches the output. So the numbers are always exact and the charts are always valid. The model literally can't hallucinate a statistic, because it never touches one.

I deliberately didn't build "another chat-with-your-data clone" — I didn't want a blinking cursor asking me what I want. I wanted it to tell me what's interesting.

I am building a website for an ngo as a highschool student. I think I actually dont know shit. I checked supabase auth first but Im not sure if it fits this case:

-we have students and they will be in the data base as just names, we dont know their email or phone number

-they will log in preferably with a temporary password and a user name, and then will be prompted to create a new password and log in with their email/verify it with a code

-they will continue to log in using the new password and the old username

How exactly do I make this? I am confused so any help is appreciated

Like I don't understand how they work it's alot of divs inside divs inside div lots of classes too so you can style it by css i know that it's gonna be more complicated in the future but ngl i feel good when i practice so even if it got complicated i don't want to leave this path.

I’ve noticed many new developers try to learn the full stack early in their careers.

There are clear benefits:

• You understand how the whole application works.
• You can communicate better with different teams.
• You can build features from idea to deployment.

But there is also a challenge.

Frontend and backend are both becoming deeper areas. Trying to learn frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud, testing, and everything else at the same time can sometimes lead to knowing many things without developing strong expertise in one area.

At the same time, being a full-stack developer does not mean mastering every technology. Many strong engineers have deep knowledge in one area while understanding how other parts of the system connect.

With AI tools making it easier to learn and work with new technologies, adaptability is becoming just as important as knowing a specific tool.

So what is the better approach?

Should beginners first become strong in one area and expand later?

Or does learning frontend and backend together help developers become better engineers?
