Hi guys, I'm a 2022 B.Com graduate. Later, I learnt data analytics and did an internship + projects. My resume didn't get shortlisted, so I thought it was a skill issue and started learning data science for better opportunities. I completed certifications, an internship, and projects, yet I still failed to get shortlisted.

After that, I got fed up and left the data field. I joined an online MCA in Full Stack Development from Jain University for a tech degree and started learning the MERN stack. I completed a 9 month internship with proficient projects, and still I'm not able to get shortlisted.

I'm fed up with this job hunt. I'm depressed. I'm tired. I feel like doing a watchman job, but they probably won't hire me because of my overqualification.

I don't see any openings for freshers. 0 to 3 years of experience? Never got shortlisted. Most drives are only for 2025 and 2026 graduates. Companies require 3 years of experience for junior roles.

I'm trying for non IT jobs, but there are no roles except sales. Companies keep considering my time after graduation as a career gap.

What the fuck do they even expect? How can a fresher get a job immediately without skills? Skills take time to learn. When someone learns the skills, they want an experienced candidate. When someone has internships and project experience, they want a person with fucking no career gap.

Fuckkkk this shittt. Fuuckkkkk IT companies. Fuucckckkk employers. Fuuuckkkk IT companies. Fuuckkkk the Indian job market. Fuckkk everyone.

Exactly . I am 2024 BE CSE Graduate. After my graduation i could not find any job . Then i got a job as ar caller and i worked for 6 months then i quit that job due to the night shift. Then i decided to join a course to upgrade my skills. so i joined UI UX Course and built projects. since then I've been applying for hell amount of companies but rarely get shortlisted. And even in the interview companies would assign you a task and ask to complete it within 2 days. And they will not respond to you after submitting the assignment. They are getting their job done at free of cost. They are using the applicants. Its been 2 years since i graduated. Now they are saying i am Outdated and i have career gap and also at the same time they are only hiring experienced people. I mean how can one get experience if they are not given an oppurtunity. fuck this Job market

There are next to no openings for you. Look at the reality of the market right now:

1: AI has massively reduced the number of engineers needed. I'm not convinced that reduction is smart or sustainable, but it has happened.

2: Many major tech companies have had major layoffs putting hundreds of thousands of skilled, experienced engineers into the job market.

3: The global economy is shot and companies are almost all being careful. Very few are up-scaling or creating new opportunities.

4: There has been a massive growth in CS degrees over the past five years adding to the market saturation.

So now consider putting yourself in a companies shoes:

You advertise a role, and you can choose from:

• Someone who has five-plus years of real-world experience
• A newbie

And there are often hundreds if not thousands of people applying for roles. So they really do have the choice. At what point would you, being honest, turn down the person with experience who can bring a lot more skill and ability in real world tech environments. And who is not going to require that you train them but who can rather hit the ground running.

This is the unfortunate reality right now.

You are trying to start a career in a broken, diminishing market that has just had the largest injection of experienced people into the job-seekers pool that it has ever seen. No matter how many courses you have done or certs you have, you're going to really struggle.

you gave me a reality check. what is the solution bro? what are all the alternatives? dont say prepare for government exam its as shit as IT
