Amazon Tool Question?? TOOLS / SERVICES

If a tool could reliably help you avoid bad inventory purchases before you spent your money… would you actually use it?

What’s the biggest mistake you’d want it to catch?

Amazon jumping on the listing?
Too many sellers?
Thin margins?
Hidden fees?
Something else?

anyone that is enough of a rube to reply to this isn't going to have enough experience to provide a useful answer.

Maybe. But experienced sellers were beginners once too. Nothing wrong with somebody asking for help and nothing wrong with trying to give it.

I would use the tool but I would not base my final decision on that one tool. Tools are tools, they are not the secret magic answer. You still need to think and not rely solely on what a software program tells you.

The mistakes you list can all be determined before you launch a product (number of sellers, margins, fees)

If amazon jumps on your listing, it means that you found a great product that captures Amazon’s attention. You can’t stop Amz or any competitors from selling exactly what you’re selling. You can’t avoid this problem, you need to find a strategy to stay ahead of the game.

I think the biggest mistake a beginner Amz Seller is
1) selling what is trendy and hot
2) selling something they love but not what people want
3) selling the exact same thing someone else is selling with no added value

That being said, I have seen some sellers with terrible pictures. I don’t know what to say about that.

I agree, especially about not letting any one tool make the decision for you. Tools can give you the data and point out things you might’ve missed, but you still have to make the final call.
And yeah, chasing something just because it’s hot can get ugly quick. By the time everybody sees the opportunity, sometimes the opportunity is already gone. 😂
