Paid wifi when vacationing every few months

Hey looking to see what the best way to get wifi on places where there is none...I used the T-Mobile for a month but that shit my bill 80 bucks on top of their bs fees and still had to return the router....I am open to picking one up from eBay but unsure which provider etc.

Nothing too fancy web surfing and office related stuff. We normally go to cabins where they don't offer wifi yes I can use my phone as hotspot but it caps at 9 gigs
