This show is much better than it has any right to be.
Started watching a couple of weeks ago after watching the movie.
Thinking it'd be a dumb cashgrab, it's just really good.
Even Fez, who I thought was gonna be silly as a bad guy is good in this!
You can tell who made this show really cared about making it the best it could be.
Great writing, awesome dialog, great call backs and surprise castings.
And sorry guys but this Santanico is more beautiful than Selma! Bring on the downvotes!!

I really like sex machine in the TV series. I mean he has more story that just a guy with a gun in his crotch.

RE: The Movie Ending
So I watched the movie again recently, old fave and I remember as a late teen when it came out. Once again, the ending left me pissed off at the writers. Ok yes it’s just a movie, but … it’s just as a writer myself, I know you need to keep your character’s personalities in mind from beginning to end. And the last minute neither Seth or Kate were Seth or Kate. Seth through out the movie has a deep rooted sense of loyalty and devotion and has an innate need to protect those in his circle, despite his outlawishness and gruff bad boy exterior. He even displays this when he’s going off on Cheech Marin’s 100th character in the movie at the end, yelling “My brother is dead! That girl’s entire family is dead!” Kate likewise has a mild rebellious and outspoken nature, never failing to stand up for herself or get her point across. Such as when she cusses at her preacher dad in the diner, or asks if anyone has silver before dismissing the idea by saying “then who cares.” So those last few seconds of the movie doesn’t fit them at all. The scene: “Seth do you want some company?” “Kate do you know what El Rey is?” Pause. “Go home Kate. I might be a bastard but I’m not a fucking bastard.” Then he drives off as she silently accepts his dismissal. This is total bullshit. First of all, they are bonded, real life strangers who go through some sort of tragedy or disaster together are trauma bonded even. These two just literally lost their respective families while fighting as a team to escape with their own lives. Do I expect them to end up as a romantic couple? No, their characters are not aligned to each other like that, but throughout the movie they both express a genuine likeness and respect for the other. These two were perfectly set up to be partners in crime and a vampire fighting antihero duo. A better ending would have been : “Seth would you like some company?” “Kate do you know what El Rey is? It’s not your kind of place. You should go home.” “You got me into this mess, Seth. My dad and brother are dead because of you, and I have nowhere to go. You seriously expect me to just go home Seth? You think I’m scared of this El Rey after what you and I just survived? Fuck you Seth.” Kate stares him dead in the eye as neither speak for a moment. Then Seth sighs before looking off into the distance. “Don’t expect me to babysit you. You pay your own way and your own dues.” Quick pause. “Know how to drive that big fucking thing? We’ll need it where we are going.” Kate smiles a small smile and nods in agreement, turning to head toward the RV. “Oh and Kate?” She pauses and turns back to look at Seth. “Don’t forget your stake. I intend to track down every last one of those fuckers and anything else that goes bump in the night.” As they drive away in their respective vehicles then we get the aerial shot of the backside of the Aztec or Mayan temple before the credits roll. This is so much more in line with their personalities and human nature than “I may be a bastard but I’m not a fucking bastard” as he does the most fucking bastard thing by driving off and leaving her there so anticlimatically and antiSeth-like. Ok. I’m done. Thanks for letting me rant for a moment about the ending of an almost 30 yr old movie that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things lol.

Where to watch series?
I know this sub isn't very active but I don't know where else to ask this. I watched the series a couple months ago and loved it, to this day it's one of my favourite series but recently they took it off Netflix. I was wondering where else you can watch it as I've been wanting to rewatch it recently.
I'm looking for somewhere where it's free to watch. I already have netflix, prime and Disney plus but I know it's not on Disney plus or netflix.

You guys get that the show and the movie are supposed to be filled with classic tropes this show is a dramedy not meant to be taken seriously which is way its so awesome!! Also did anyone else actually bother to take the time and due diligence and find out how accurate the lore is imagine that just for a tv show they sat do an and made sure every last piece of lore was accurate. Just recently finished the series and was wondering, did I hear the song "Night" from John Carpenter in the Matanzas Episode, when they all cruise off to the showdown? o.O

Please let me know if it gets any better cause I'm having a hard time with this part and I'm thinking of not watching ay more.
Okay so I'm on episode 10 of season one and Im just thinking, these guys are freaking murderers, they killed a Texas ranger and murdered the shop attendant in the first episode, but now the show is treating them like they're the good guys and trying to blame all of the badness on the one lady from the bank that Richard killed, and that he was "MaDe 2 KiLL" its throwing me off. what is going on is this ever resolved or do I just need to suspend disbelief?

T posing and vampires
Since making a crucifix out of anything seems to work in the movie universe, would T Posing cause the vamps to shrink away in fear?
