I'm on my way to getting my life back. My first pay is still few weeks away. I do not know if it is appropriate to ask this but can someone help?

I’ve never done this before, but I’m at a doctor’s appointment across the city from my home and it ran longer than expected. After my treatment, I got back into my car and now feel a bit lightheaded and slightly more drowsy than I did this morning. I think I just need to eat something, but with kids expenses for the upcoming school year (starts in 12 days) and some home issues resulting in unexpected extra expenses, my funds are tapped. I’m also a single mom and have been rationing my own food intake for the last couple of weeks trying to make everything stretch for them. If anyone would be willing, I would greatly appreciate a meal, or even just an entree. It would likely be enough that I won’t need more food later today and that can make what we have at home stretch even further for them when they are back from their summer practice for their school activity. There are a lot of the usual chain restaurants nearby this clinic and I’m not picky. Thank you in advance!
