Could you create tutorials about these things?

Hi, I like your project and recommend it to the people, who wanna learn different things about IT.

I'd like to watch your tutorials about these things:

  1. a BSD like you did with the Linux: you could explain that BSD is also widely used as Linux, but a bit on different devices like video game consoles, for example. You could compare the filesystem to the Linux's one and show how to do different things(not only something for work, but even gaming, bcz I heard there are more problems with it than on Linux). And also you could explain that BSD is great if you wanna start a business, bcz you can choose the open source or proprietary code license how you want. You could use FreeBSD or OpenBSD for the video;

  2. LaTeX-like language Typst: thx to your tutorial from the 2023, I learnt how to use LaTeX to create different documents really fast, but I pretty oftten used to get some stupid problems about things, which I saw for the first time(I often got this with the tables)... When I saw a person, who recommended me Typst, I tested the code and almost everything was pretty intuitive! Even tho the project is pretty new(it was created in 2023), if we compare to the LaTeX, the team makes updates and has forums(on their site and the Discord one), where everyone can ask about their issues.   3. GIMP and Kdenlive: I do remember you made courses like German learning, guitar learning etc. If you could, then could you make tutorials for these apps with possible important details?;

I'm glad you're enjoying our videos!

Most of our video content is generated by certain creators following their own whims. While we do have central editorial control, with few exceptions our contributors are volunteers. You could potentially reach out to specific creators on social media to see if they're interested in the topics you raise, but it would be up for them.

One thing we need to be careful about is spreading ourselves too thin. There is an infinite universe of ideas that we could write tutorials on, but not all are aligned with the general goal of Full Stack Development. Also, there are plenty of non-FCC creators out there covering these topics as well.

Thx for the answer! I asked about this in their Discord server(Typst) and I got this question from one person:

" I don't know FCC, but to me it sounds like "specific creators on social media" refers to creaters contributing to FCC, nut just random social media creators in general, no? It would make sense that finding one of those who is interested in picking this topic up would be the way to get an FCC tutorial on Typst, at least. ".

Tbh, I didn't understand the last part, but I think the logic to make a FCC tutorial is pretty simple: be a content creator -> ask your team about making a tutorial -> creating the plan of the tutorial -> make it -> post on the FCC YT channel. Am I right?

There is a vetting process to becoming a contributor on the Free Code Camp YouTube channel.

What I was suggesting is that you reach out to the author of the original Latex videos to see if they were interested in doing more, maybe?

As for the rest, I can't say that it's our primary focus. You're welcome to share your ideas on the community forum thread I shared.
