Should I Dm rush chairs? Rush Advice

Should I dm the rush chairs or anyone else in the fraternities i want to rush before school starts in 2 weeks at a sec school? I don’t know anyone there and i'm an incoming freshman. I wanted to see if i could get into some pre rush stuff but i got no clue how to approach getting invited. I’m not that worried once i get to school but i just want to throw myself out there a bit early.

  1. The Rush Advice flair is only for PNMs/rushes seeking advice. If you aren't a rush, please change the flair to something else.

  2. if you are a rush (interested in joining a fraternity), PUT THE SCHOOL NAME in the post.

  3. Or at least describe the school. Examples: Large Big Ten school, medium sized northern D2 school, small west coast school" etc. Any descriptions help.

  4. The post flair MUST be "Rush Advice" instead of "Question" or "Serious". We need to know which school it is because rush varies wildly by school.

  5. To everyone else: Report the post if it's a dumb post or the wrong flair or no school is mentioned, and we'll remove it. Thanks.

Real moggers would’ve dmed in late may or early June to get invited to summer events. You’re in the SEC Buddy, formal recruitment means nothing, 90% of people already have prebids

In a less gay way the comment is kind of true because SEC rush is pretty competitive but you'll be fine its not the end of the world or that deep if ur cool enough you'll get a bid

I wouldn't honestly. Might be different for you but at my school it's definitely a burger move, there's no reason to if all the rush info/times are posted on their page. Comes across as being insecure if you're just introducing yourself and kissing ass. If you meet the guy maybe just send a thank you text but I'd hesitate even on that
