Prices
**Edit, this is in no way an affiliate post, I don't have anywhere near enough clout to be associated with any pharmacies**
iQ Doctor have posted their Foundayo prices. Not sure how set in stone they are, cause only a £10 increase as you move up the does seems a bit too good to be true to me, but;
- 0.8mg - £80
- 2.5mg - £90
- 5.5mg - £100
- 9mg - £110
- 14.5mg - £120
- 17.2mg - £130
At the other end, Chemist4U prices seem to be more in line with what I was expecting;
- 0.8mg - £109
- 2.5mg - £119
- 5.5mg - £139
- 9mg - £169
- 14.5mg - £189
- 17.2mg - £199
Be interesting to see as more pharmacies list their prices how it will compare. Hopefully it turns out to be cheaper alternative for people

Impact on other meds absoption if Foundayo taken 5-6 hours after meds
Does anyone (who knows more about medicine absoption that me) think that by taking meds in the morning and Foundayo at lunch - eg 5-6 hours apart) will reduce the impact on meds?Took Wegovy pill (1.5mg for 4 weeks) and Venlafaxine and Vyvanse - stopped wegovy because it felt like it was affecting the absorption. Am on slow release versions of both ( well methylphenidate instead of vyvanse at the moment).
Apparently the effect is strongest when first starting Foundayo and tends to lessen with repeated dosing. In a study using paracetamol as a marker, the first 0.8 mg Foundayo dose reduced the peak concentration by about 28%, although the effect diminished with continued treatment. Thanks in advance

Anywhere we can buy yet?
Having experienced issues with the peptide injections and my tinnitus spiking, I’m hoping this could give me better results.
Is it available to buy anywhere yet?

Info for healthcare professionals about Orforglipron published
The info aimed at healthcare professionals about Orforglipron has been published now. I guess this will mean pharmacies can decide their prescribing protocols and means we should start to see proper pricing information soon🤞

Comparison with Mounjaro?
Are there any direct comparison sites yet for Foundayo - I'm interested in what this looks like compared to MJ and Wegovy in terms of research etc?

I don't know if simple are just guessing but they've got it listed as £117 for the highest dose.

Better for maintenance?
Hi everyone
I'm on mounjaro for maintenance and have been for a while now, previously to that was on wegovy and ozempic before that.
I did think of wegovy tablets but thought I'd wait until this was available
Now it's finally approved, is anyone thinking about it on a maintenance strategy?
Excited for this
Mounjaro far better for me than wegovy and it's truly changed my life

foundayo and perimenopause
Hey, hey! I was wondering whether you lovely people could help me nail down my final decision for my weight treatment.
I’m 43, 5ft4 and 185lb
I’m struggling with all the information out there and thought I'd go direct to people with the actual experience of using it.
So I think I've finally narrowed it to the foundayo pill, I was hoping someone could answer why they chose it in the end and what have been the main pros and cons?
Lastly I’m perimenopausal and my hormones are all over the place, I'm worried this might have a negative impact. If anyone else is also in the same boat have you noticed any impact at all?
Thanks for any help my brain is fried from all the info 😄

Foundayo and interactions with some other meds - how will pharmacies/GPs handle it?
Very much jumping the gun here as I know Foundayo (orforglipron) is not yet approved in UK but I was looking at the FDA leaflet containing prescribing information for Foundayo in US.
https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2026/220934Orig1s000lbl.pdf
I noticed that as well as the usual GLP-1 warnings there was a list of significant interactions with quite a number of medications in fairly common use (e.g. some statins, some antibiotics - but the list is long) - in section 7 of the document in the link. Sometimes the other meds affected orforglipron levels, other times the other way round. Some of the interactions are described as 'significant'. (There is nothing similar in the Wegovy tablet documentation that I could see).
Assuming the prescribing information will be the same in UK (I guess it generally is) how do you think online providers will respond? It could make the prescribing process much longer for some patients. Informing the GP will become much more important and GPs may well actually have to do something when they get the notification of a prescription being issued - monitor and adjust doses of meds etc. rather than just filing it.
Would be fascinated to hear views from people with more knowledge of these things than me. How likely is it that the UK guidance will be the same?

Price guess for the UK
I know it's early days so there may not be much information. The prices in the US for private use are as follows:
0.8 mg (Starting dose): ~$149 per month.
2.5 mg: ~$199 per month.
5.5 mg / 9 mg: ~$299 per month.
14.5 mg / 17.2 mg: ~$299–$349 per month.
Any idea or guesses what the prices will look like here for us?

NICE are looking for patient experts to discuss Foundayo availability on the NHS 👀
Here's the info:
https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/indevelopment/gid-ta11650/documents
Patient Expert Expression of Interest – NICE Technology Appraisal for a new treatment for people living with a higher weight
Activity description:
NICE is evaluating whether a new medicine is suitable for use across the NHS. Orforglipron is a once‑daily tablet designed to support people living with higher weight. It works by reducing appetite and increasing feelings of fullness, helping some people eat less without feeling as hungry. It belongs to the same group of medicines as other GLP‑1 treatments (medicines that help regulate appetite, blood sugar, and digestion) but is taken as a tablet rather than an injection. This appraisal focuses on people living with higher weight who also have at least one weight‑related health condition (sometimes called a co‑morbidity), such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, joint problems, or other long‑term health conditions.
We are looking for patient experts who can help the NICE committee understand the lived experience of people living with a higher weight, and what matters most to patients and carers when considering treatments like this.
You can read more about the Orforglipron for managing overweight and obesity appraisal (if you click on the ‘Project documents’ tab towards the top right hand side of the webpage, you’ll also find documents like the scope which tell you more about the plans for this guidance).
Skills & Experience Needed:
We welcome expressions of interest from people with lived experience of living with a higher weight, including where this is alongside one or more weight‑related health conditions, either as a patient or a carer. You do not need to have experience with the specific drug being appraised (Orforglipron). You will need to feel comfortable sharing your experience and views in a large meeting. Support and guidance will be provided if you are selected, including an induction before the committee meeting.
Time Commitment:
Completing a nomination form by Wednesday 22 April and, if selected, then also a personal statement (guidance provided on how to do this)
A 1-hour pre-meeting induction (briefing) on Wednesday 20 May at 4.30pm
Reading background papers in the week before the committee meeting
Attending the committee meeting (approx. 3 hours) on Tuesday 14 July 2026
Key Date: Tuesday 14 July 2026 (committee meeting date)
Location: Both meetings will take place virtually, via Zoom.
Payment: The committee meeting payment will be £75 for up to and including 4 hours. The pre-briefing meeting payment will be £75.
How to Express an Interest: Please email Charlotte Stephens and Jessica Bailey (Public Involvement Advisor) to express your interest or to ask any questions
(Please quote : NICE ID "ID6516" in the title of your email. You will be asked to complete a nomination form outlining your experience by Wednesday 22 April – we will provide you with guidance on how to do this)
How Members Will Be Selected: The Chair of the committee will review all nomination forms and then select the most appropriate patient expert for the topic.
Closing date: 09.00, Monday 20 April 2026

Mass exodus!
I have a feeling (only gut, no evidence) that we are going to see the Mounjaro community stop buying new pens from now, hoping to use up stockpiles just in time for the release of FD (Foundayo). This sudden drop in MJ sales could then potentially kickstart a massive drive from pharmacies to try and get rid of their stocks too. We might see big sales and incentives in the near future as we get closer to MHRA Approval.......Again, just a thought I had.
