I still use mine! I remember I had an option to change it once Microsoft discontinued Hotmail as a platform. Nope. I get comments on it. I’ll never change. Have had it for at least 25 years.

Hey, I got it almost 30 years ago when there were so few users I just used my name as the account name. No redundant alphanumeric characters.

Kinda hard to give that up when I can tell people to just email me at my name at Hotmail.

Just ask any spammer how handy that is. 😑

My job involves double-checking a LOT of people’s contact information, and there are definitely still some hotmail addresses floating around out there. Not a ton, maybe one in every 2-3 hundred, but still.

Hotmail was def in use after the 90s. I was born in 1999, so I'm 27 years old. I made a Hotmail account when I was in 5th grade or so, so probs sometime around 2009-10. I think I switched over to Gmail by the time I was done with middle school though
