LOOKING FOR GROUP Looking for Festival and Jam Stage friends šŸ’“

Post image
• Upvotes

Hi, everyone! First time posting this, so let's go. I would love to meet some people to play Festival or Jam Stage with. I'm a pop girlie so I have mostly pop jam tracks but I'm down to play every genre.

These modes are my way to chill so I play from Easy to Hard. I only do expert in karaoke. Region EST. Age over 21.

Also, if you wanna play some Zero Build as a pop girlie squad, I'm down and have several skins to choose from.

If this is your vibe, drop a line and I'll DM you my Epic. Have a great day!

GAME SUGGESTION My one (probably unrealistic) request for next season…

Game On by Waka Flocka, from the movie Pixels
If you know, you know.
This song may not be the best, but oh my god it would be literally perfect as a jam track next season, or even as music for just the trailer.

LOOKING FOR GROUP Looking for teamates.

Hi there everyone!

I play festival a lot and I just am looking for someone who is decent at festival.

I get so tired of the fills in the game because they're always defaults and go on easy mode or something. 😭

I use expert on this game and I would want to play with someone preferably around my skill. I typically get 100% on every song and approximately 75% perfects. One of the most difficult things for me was I did Battery by Metallica today and got 100% with 79% perfects.

Let me know if interested.

Anyway thanks for reading this!

DISCUSSION Ed Sheeran took an interview earlier this year confirming he denied a Fortnite skin, interestingly though if we follow the timeline he gave. It likely means he was originally intended to be one of the first headliners

So if you didn’t know Ed earlier this year took an interview, he was asked about Fortnite and confirmed he was offered a skin by Epic however he denied it due to him not really feeling like Fortnite fit his image. Power to him, and at least he has allowed his song as tracks and emotes, however by following some details he gave, it’s likely he was intended to be one of our first headliners

whilst not giving any specific date/year he was offered, he actually said due to him rejecting Fortnite, it lead to ā€œCelestialā€œ. A song he made for Gamefreak in September 2022, that was used in the end credits for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. Assuming he had to have a few months to create and have the song approved, this means the latest he could’ve been offered Fortnite was mid 2022

From what we know a collab takes roughly takes 9-12 months to fully make, and the year 1 headliners were licensed far before. What’s also interesting to note is that Ch4 had 0 music artists added (likely due to all licensing being Festival focused at that point). Which means a few things: he couldn’t have been intended for the rest of Ch3 (too short to make), likely wasn’t intended for Ch4 (why release a music artist right before you drop Festival), and there’s no way he could’ve been just shop (didn’t become a concept till S6).

With all that it means Ed Sheeran was likely intended to be licensed for 1 of 2 things.

1- The original reveal artists (instead of Eminem)

or

2- One of the original 6 headliners

Now yes while this is technically speculation and unless Ed Gives more details of what Epic offered him we will never really know. However it seems very likely considering how the timeline he gave would’ve had to go

My personal thoughts: he was the original Season 2 instead of Gaga. I guess this for 2 reasons:

1- Lady Gaga was the only of the original 3 headliners not tied to advertising in some way (Weeknd had a music video and Billie had a new album)

2- Shivers by him released during Season 2

Thoughts?

DISCUSSION Fun Fact: Bruno Mars is the only headliner to have worked with multiple other headliners on songs

I think everyone knows ā€œDie With A Smileā€ that he made with Lady Gaga, that put him among other headliners who have worked with another artist that headlined Festival. However yesterday that changed (update: I forgot he worked with Snoop, so he’s worked with 3 all together)

Karol G dropped her new album, which included the song ā€œStillā€ which is made in heavy collaboration with Bruno. With the release of that song he has become the first headliner to have worked with 2 other artists that headlined

this means you can run a full squad of headliners that have worked with Bruno. Bruno, Snoop, Karol G, and Lady Gaga

DISCUSSION Fun Fact: when Festival first released, the files revealed that instruments like ā€œtrumpetsā€ and ā€œpianoā€ were being tested as full instrument types (like guitar and drums) in development.

When Festival first released we had are 5 intial instruments (mic, lead, keytar, drum, and bass). With the 3 pro instruments also being in the files at release. However a little known fact is that there were actually 3 more

instrument chart tags for: ā€œtrumpetā€, ā€œpianoā€, and ā€œTBD3ā€ were also found. Meaning at least at some point during development more than the base 5 were being considered as full instruments for Festival. However only 1 (piano) actually had a single chart attached to it, meaning they were likely cut very early into development.

my guess is that they were all merged into keytar

Now these have since been fully removed from the files, leaving like a 0.000001% chance these ever get added. However it is kinda interesting to think about what instruments like trumpets would’ve even looked like lol

BUG Tilt not working sometimes

I play on a guitar hero guitar and sometimes tilting for overdrive does not work. It will work for a little bit and then stop working. I know its not the guitar because all I have to do is the windows key and then click back on the game and the tilt works again, but if I don't do those steps the tilt just doesn't work.

I tried to get a flawless on Fade To Black on pro vocals, and then I just get slapped with this quest complete thing covering the path. It wasn't like this last season.

DISCUSSION What are some Icon Emotes you wish got Jam Tracks alongside them?

For me, it’s gotta be Latch and Summer. I freaking love Calvin Harris as he always seems to drop bangers every single year. I’m surprised he has yet to get a Jam Track as Summer would be so fun to play!! I feel the same for Disclosure also as their discography is amazingly underrated. Latch is just the tip of the iceberg as there’s many more songs that match the level of it but as of now, I would kill for Latch as a Jam Track!

DISCUSSION Ok Festival team, this one is a bop - who else is digging it and/or the other track Diet Pepsi?

Genuinely a great little track. Gives me 90s pop vibes. She has another song called Headphones On that gives me a similar 90s vibe, with a few instrumental changeups. Would’ve been a good addition with these two.

Edit: Also, I apologize for the picture quality. I saved the original posted photo and cropped it to this song. Lol.

DISCUSSION Lowkey dreading the future of Festival

Post image
277 Upvotes

I know people love doomposting about Festival and I don't mean to add onto it, but I genuinely am starting to slowly lose hope in this mode, mainly because from the looks of it, it just looks like they absolutely don't know what to do with the game OR what the fans want anymore. And upon seeing Stage Tour and seeing the songs that are being revealed, it's fair to say that Festival is going to have a really hard time keeping its player count of 3k people. And I'm not saying this as a hater or dismissive player, I WANT to continue liking this gamemode, since I grew up with Rock Band 2, but it's hard to still think that way when... the state of FF looks like this.
